These are Statistics from the Center for Disease Control and Planned Parenthood. It's absolutely shocking.

The arguments for abortion often are as follows: What if the mother is underage?
What if she was raped/ victim of incest?
What if the mother's life/health is in danger?


The following statistics from 2009 will blow these arguments out of the water!

Only 17% or abortions were performed on teenagers... 2% on girls 15 or under.
50% of abortions are performed on women 25- 40 years old (or older).
Only .3% of abortions are performed on women who claim rape or incest.
1.7% of abortions are performed for fear of the mother and/or child's life and/or health.
75% of abortions are a matter of convenience (it would interfere with work, school, and/or lifestyle).


These are other statistics you should know:

20% of abortions last year were performed on MARRIED women... that's 258,000 abortions.
As many as 75% of pregnancies are "unexpected", 41% of which will end in abortion
5.1% of pregnancies in America end in abortion
An estimated 48 million legal abortions have occured since Roe v. Wade in 1973.

i only allow abortion if the MOM, not kid, MOM would die, and only die. and that is from the DOCTOR'S mouth and not a thought from the mom or dad's mind. but if that is all for the fear for mom and/or child...JUST BAN ABORTIONS ALL TOGETHER!

I agree! That is just sick! I know that most women who have abortions only have it because they don't know that the baby is actually alive! I know that's what happened to Gianna's mother. Gianna is an abortion survivor, if you don't know who she is.

on the abortions because the mother wouldnt survive, they could always artificially put the baby in a surrogate mother. that way the baby would still b able 2 live and so would the mom.

Keep in mind that those statistics are on what is reported. No where near the true number of underage abortions are reported. However, the ones that you did show are bad as well. Growing up in the society that I did I could have had my wife get an abortion and think it was justified. But that was propoganda that I could not listen to. I come from a big family and was the last of 6 children. My wife and children are survivers of the abortion generations since I was born before the Roe v. Wade decision.

Why do women have abortions?

•74% say having a baby would interfere with work, school, or other responsibilities.
•73% say they cannot afford to have a child.
•48% say they do not want to be a single parent, or have relationship problems with husband or partner.
•Less than 2% say they became pregnant as a result of rape or incest.

this is sick... why cant you just have the baby (as long as it doesnt kill you in the process) and then give it up for adoption? it's not like that baby's life wont b important to someone else who cant have kids of their own

ya and u can hopefully stay in touch so you'll never lose the child even if you are not around he/she I mean he child will start askin sooner or later and feel rejected alone depressed cause they were gavin away and didn't know why you know ^_^

IKR! I say, unless you are dieing and the baby is
A) helping you die or
B) the reason you are dieing
then you should give it up for adoption. Save the mom cuz she can try again later. Baby can too, SEVERAL YEARS LATER...in their bratty teen years (yes, I just called myself a brat).

Almost 1 out of every 4 Americans babies are aborted.

I read this in a magazine:
The leading cause of death in the United States is abortion.(33 percent)
~Heart disease causes 16 percent of deaths.
~Cancer is a close third with 15 percent.
~36 percent is all other causes of death.
