((Hehe. Laura, you put Stardust instead of Stargirl :P))I love this book as well. I like that it has a boy protagonist dealing with finding out that different is okay. It is a book that I can normally get boys and girls to read :)
Hey thanks Kellee! Ohhh I got Stardust on the brain, just ask Fiona lol. It's great so far, really enjoying this girl who is not afraid to be different, to stand out in the crowd. Loving it!

Anyone continue on with the series?
Me too Beth! Hey if you're gonna read it anytime soon, you could start a thread for it! I know GEmma used to rave about this series. I hope we see her back on GR soon. It's always cool to find a new series. Particularly one that helps those who dare to be different.
Oh my gosh, I'm only on p 22 and I LOVE this Stargirl character. She is amazing! So unique. And cool! Obviously I'm not finished this yet, but Kandice, I have a feeling Darby would really love this. Isn't she also a kid who isn't afraid to just be herself? She would love this character.

This girl could teach all of us something. She is incredible. I'm a little more than halfway through, but I feel like everyone should read this book. Young, old....everyone.
I finished it last night. I loved it. I'll definitely read the next book in the series - Love, Stargirl
. I definitely see this as a book to read over and over, Jess. Did you read the second one too? I was expecting a little more from the ending, bit I guess it had to end the way it did. I'm hoping it's fleshed out more in the sequel. Did anyone read the sequel?
Content-wise, this book has nothing to be concerned about, as I see it. No language or anything. A character is shunned, ignored, whatever you wanna call it, but that's it. I think the book itself suggests a 10 and up audience.
I thought it was wonderful. I'd like to buy a bunch of copies and send them around to people. We need "Stargirls" everywhere. In schools, communities, parks, backyards, churches, stadiums...everywhere. This world would be a better place.
