Does anyone else here watch True Blood? The third season is already amazing. I get so giddy every Sunday night.

I love True Blood! I have to watch the new episodes on Monday online though, cause I don't have HBO. Who are you rooting for, Bill or Eric?
I don't have HBO, so I have to wait until it comes out on DVD. Season 2 is in my Netflix queue, patiently waiting for me to read the second Sookie Stackhouse book before I watch it.
I used to watch True Blood with my friend when I lived in an apartment and got HBO. After I moved, I tried to stop watching it, but eventually I just picked up viewing it online.I'm not really a huge Bill fan; he's too moody.
I absolutley love Jessica and Hoyt, however, my favorite character is Lafeyette. He's unique and always makes me laugh.
I like Bill because I like his old-fashioned ways. But I like Eric because at first they made him seem so cold and emotionless, but there's been hints of more and more humanity in him. And he's funny. And I'm really liking season 3 so far.
I'm a little torn between which I like best, season one or season three. Season one is so true to the book and that makes me love it. The only things they change are necessary to keep interest in the other characters. But season three is so exciting. I've loved these first episodes. I can tell it's going to be amazing. And Franklin Mott is turning out to be quite an interesting character.
I never tried watching it before. It sounds exciting but isn't it kinda smexy? Like I hear there's lots n lots of sex. (Never got into the books...)
Where do you watch it online? Cause I don't have HBO and am wanting to see it. I don't like putting shows on my queue because I get one a month and have a lot of movies I want to see.
Richard - This site http://tvpie.com/tv/true-blood streams seasons 1 & 2. The quality is ehh unless you watch it in a small window. If you want better quality episodes & don't mind watching only 1 a day you could also try the megavideo links on http://www.surfthechannel.com/show/56...
The videos time out after 72 minutes. Enjoy!
Bah, I noticed the 2nd episode listed on TVpie isn't in fact the 2nd ep. The others seem okay, just a heads up if anyone uses it & gets confused (:

I agree about Lafeyette! He is a riot and I think he's sooo gorgeous! I also love Sam. Apparently I have some wolf/dog thing because I was also rooting for Jacob when I read Twilight. Poor puppahs!
I tried to read the first book awhile ago, long before I started watching True Blood but I only got like 20 pages in. Sookie is such a dumb bitch, I couldn't stand it. She's still really annoying in the show, but tolerable. My opinion is that if you don't read the books you won't be missing much.

I don't have HBO so I'll have to watch it online.
I've finished 6 books and I think they are completely different entities. The show has changed so many things from the books, that I can only guess what happens from episode to episode. The books are easy-reads & things move along quickly. I do prefer the show however, the actors are brilliant. Richard! Get the ball rolling with the show! lol
I knowwww. I need to... I just hate watching the movie/show before I read the books. Is season one based on book one, season two on book two, and so on?
Season 1 was based on the book, but things are changed around. Two sort of vaguely follows it, and I don't know where 3 is going. Sometimes it seems like the show creator just uses character names and supernatural stuff and goes off on his own tangent. The books only follow Sookie, but in the show you get to see the perspectives of a lot of the other characters.
Ahhhh. Has the show revealed anything from Book 2 or further? Or does it just start as book one and then is totally different from the rest?
Well season 1 focuses on a bunch of murders, the killer is revealed at the end of book 1 so. Season 2 loosely follows it, but there aren't any big secrets or twists that I can remember.
Okay good :D. What I'll probably do is read the first book ASAP, and then start watching the show and read the sequels when I get the chance.
I think they're good books. I really love books 1-4. After that, they lost my interest a little bit, but I'm still keeping up with them.
10.. I guess she writes one every 11 months haha. The first book isn't even 300 pages
All this talk has made me want to watch old episodes. =)
Ahhh, so she's writing 3 more haha. And I'm glad I got you re-interested in watching the older episodes ;). You've definitely sparked my interest in the show and books.
Haha I'd love to discuss the hotness of certain vampires both in the books and on the show, but somehow I don't think that would interest you much =PI have the 1st season on DVD, mostly I just surfthechannel though. ^^
I just bought the first season at a Black Friday sale yesterday. I am pretty excited to start watching it. I have heard about it and seen it everywhere but I don't have HBO. What season are they on now?

I'm a bit late on this, but I just ran across a True Blood thread and did a little happy dance. I've read all the books and seen all the episodes and I have no life :D.The books are definitely worth reading. They have a very tongue-in-cheek sense of humor and make fun of themselves. They are a bit of a parody of all this supernatural vampire stuff that's currently all the rage.
However, it's necessary to keep in mind that the books and the show are two completely separate species. The seasons vaguely follow the main plot lines of the books but change a lot of things, leave out others, and screw with the character stories. (since I don't think its all that much of a secret) Lafayette dies in the books but he is my FAVE character in the series so I'm glad they kept him in. Tara is a much smaller character in the books, Eric and Bill are pretty dead on though. (no pun intended) The best part of the books that has, thus far, been left out of the show is Bubba. In the books, Elvis was turned into a vamp but it didn't go quite right so he is a retarded vamp who sucks cat blood. But he's really sweet and funny and......ELVIS!!!! Hope they work that into the show. Can't wait for Season 4.
I'm hoping they follow the books and Eric loses his memory.
