Joshua | 18 comments So what was the the most epic scene in all of the Drizzt saga?!

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

oh... that's a tough one... I think...

1. In the hunters blades trilogy when Drizzt finds out Catti-brie and the others are alive and he finally kisses her properly. Although that isn't really epic is it?? hm...

2. When he dukes it out with the Ghost King in Transitions, though that book is kind of fuzzy, I need to reread his books.

3. His battle with King Obould in the Orc King. That was pretty intense. Curse that impenetrable armor...

4. His final face off with Artemis in Jarlaxle's crystal keep. That one was pretty insane... or any face off with Artemis was pretty epic

5. Well, I'd have to say wulfgar sacrifices himself to save Catti-brie from the... thing. I can't remember the legacy either... *sigh*

And that's all I remember...

Andrew | 5 comments it was the Yochal (the servent of Lloth) that Wulfgar sacrificed himself with to save Catti-brie.

I liked Drizzt vs the Balor in the crystal shard, where he first discovered the power of icingdeath.

I also second the final face off with Artemis.

Michael Dolan i think pretty much any boss fight involving entreri, but i think one of my personal favorites that i remember was poor tarathiel dueling obould in the lone drow. also, the duel between drizzt and lelorniel, supported by their respective allies outside. those were some great scenes, i thought.

message 5: by Michael (new)

Michael Dolan haha, which confrontation?

message 6: by Michael (new)

Michael Dolan in the underdark? that was a really great one. or their first one in mithral hall? either way. they were both incredible to imagine. i've always wanted to watch a duel between warriors of their skill...

message 7: by Michael (new)

Michael Dolan I think I recall that one. When Entreri was with the drow? All of their showdowns sort of blur in my mind.

message 8: by Michael (new)

Michael Dolan haha. i think i remember that.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Regis was his captive,

message 10: by Michael (new)

Michael Dolan in the legacy of the drow, perhaps.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

No, that's in Icewind Dale trilogy because Entreri hunts after Regis and group when they quest for Mithral hall. But in Legacy of the Drow at the first two books he kidnaps Regis, later when it's moonless night is when Cat is taken by Entreri after he's joined with Jarlaxle's gang for a bit. But he never fights with Drizzt on the ledge with Cat as a captive, that was Regis.

Unless you meant icewind Dale this entire time...

message 12: by Michael (new)

Michael Dolan oh right... haha, i had forgotten about that. that was also a wonderful fight.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Too many fight scenes to remember... it gets rather confusing.

message 14: by Michael (new)

Michael Dolan yeah... about ten stalemates. what do you figure?

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Eh, Drizzt kind of beats entreri on the ledge in LotD, And Entreri is technically beaten in Crenshinibon in their final duel, even though he cheated... a lot of times. There were about three stalemates in the series that I know of.

Michael Dolan Yeah... I guess I'm biased because Entreri's more interesting. Still, fate often intervened in defense of Drizzt. But I'm sure the drow was a hair better.

Also, anything involving Obould, such as when he fought Tarathiel. And the final duel with Drizzt. Obould also is far more interesting to me than Drizzt.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Of course, Drizzt is more of the ideal hero, Entreri is the complicated one, All the characters are just so interesting in their own way.

message 18: by Michael (new)

Michael Dolan It was indeed. Obould is almost as interesting as Entreri.

Stephen light | 62 comments I must agree, I loved every single fight between entreri and drizzt. I always had music going and it just came alive in my head! THey were the best!

Ireth Seregon (irethmonica) | 14 comments hi is this group active? i'm totally new to this site. i used to be on shelfari but now can't log in there. I like him a lot! don't like the new neverwinter

message 21: by Chantelle (new)

Chantelle | 1 comments I haven't read neverwinter yet - I'm on the ghost king. But I'm excited how all of the loose ends in the story seem to be getting tied together!

message 22: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (draoidhbandia) | 1 comments Holy crap, there is no way to pin down a specific scene! Every one of these books are epic in their own way. He, R.A. Salvatore, is a master at writing battle scenes. My man got me into these books with Homeland! He had gotten a signed copy, he got personally from the man, and it is also signed by Ed Greenwood and it is the holy grail to him. So naturally I had to read it and I have been hooked ever since! I HATE that Cattie and Regis are gone, and I HATE Dahlia! She sure is no Cattie! When Artimis and Drizzt fight together are some of my favorite scenes! They are raunchy together, absolute destruction! Pure Genius, and AMAZING! So many parts, Drizzt fighting undead Zacknafein, Drizzt killing Masoj Hunett, the second fight with Obold when Drizzt throws the sword up obold looks up and the rest is history...the list goes on and on!

message 23: by Ireth (new)

Ireth Seregon (irethmonica) | 14 comments mwahahaha! Kimberly, I Totally second yr opinion!
Dahlia is morally unjust and seems to mislead the poor upright kind drow. Damn her! LOL! So likely not to follow salvatore anymore?
I liked the stone of tymora series, has some elves and drizzt as a mentor.
