This is the second book I have read from Sophie and I am incredibly impressed by her style of writing. She presents some serious issues in life with humor. I love it. Was wondering what other people's opinion are of this author and if there are any other authors out there that you would compare to her?

Hi! I love Sophie Kinsella! Her style of writing is amazing, I wish I could write like her.In chick-lit, I only know of Marian Keyes and she has a similar style, although its more difficult to read than Kinsella's style... but they are similar... my favorites are Sushi for Beginners and The Other Side of the Story (this one is inspiring).
But Gena Showalter she has written some chick-lit, but mostly paranormal books, and she has a very similar style. Showalter is definitly an author to check out.
This author is my favourite go-to author for a light chick-lit read. I have read all the books she's written, I believe, and enjoyed them all. I don't know of any who compare well, but I may have to check out the ones mentioned above.
I like Sophie's "normal girl" narrators. Her female MC's are flawed, quirky, and a self-conscious, and they feel very real to me. I find myself really rooting for everything to turn out well. And Kinsella rarely disappoints.
Meg Cabot is another good chick-lit author..I recently read her "Queen of Babble" and saw a lot of Becky Brandon(/Bloomwood) in the protagonist Lizee Nichols. I have read all of Sophie Kinsella's books. Now planning to read all Meg Cabots too :)
i think a lot of writers come close to Sophie Kinsella writing style but Sophies writing will always be a little bit different because her style is so captivating, he characters always feel so real, they have the same problems that every 20something girl does. they may have more dram but its always that everyday girl trying to solve her boyfriend/family/friends/work issues. i relate to Becky so much that its hard for me to finish reading her books, it takes me 3 to 4months to get through it. i have the same addiction to shopping and credit cards that it sometimes feels like i am at a 12 step program when reading the Shopaholics books. but i do agree she never disappoints, you can always count on her books to be good. Can you keep a secret and Remember me are two of my favorite books of all time.
Ah, you guys, you gotta try Anna Maxted if you like Sophie's style of real life issues. Anna can go to some pretty dark places but my goodness, the way she brings you through them into the light is just marvellous ... and the hilarity (and pathos) of the situations is very similar to Sophie's. I have all of Anna Maxted's novels and have only just discovered the awesomeness of Sophie ... so yeah, the similarities are really striking me at the moment. :p
I am also a Sophie fan, her writing style is unique and witty. Her novels, while very happily ever after-ish are entertaining and funny.
I love her writing style... I wish she'd write more. Any idea if there are more of her books coming soon?
I truly enjoy Sophia Kinsella. She also writes under the name Madeline Wickham if anyone was not aware of that. I recently read 2 books by Emily Giffin and found her writing style to be as captivating at Kinsella.
I'm also Sophie Kinsella fan!!!! One of my favorite books is "Remember Me" and I loved "Can You Keep a Secret?". I love her stories and her writing style. I can read one of her books in two days! I've read the Shopaholic Series. I don't usually buy fiction books but I've made an exception for her books!
What I find really great about her writing is that when her protagonists speak about themselves as in body image, they don't tend to say (paraphrasing Kinsella from her website) details, like saying "My dark hair fell in my face" but more general things, like "my hair looks fab today!" I think that helps connecting to the character more. Kinsella also writes under her real name, Madeline Wickham, in which she writes in third person, which I feel is so different, even though much of the humour is the same. Both writing styles are wonderful, but I have to say that I love Kinsella more.
I loved how this book started because every woman can relate! Her style is different and I read books depending upon what I'm feeling. I can read a book's synopsis and know if it is for me, or for later, or not at all. Her boos are beach reads that make you smile and relate as you read.
She never fails to make me laugh. I literally rolled on my bed while reading this! I couldn't stop reading until the last page
I look dumb smiling all over while reading the book. She's funny. You can't help get hooked until you finish everything up
I too am a Sophie Kinsella fan and she does have a book out. It's hardback copy and a bit pricey so might wait a bit longer. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ive-Your-Numb... x
I've read all of Sophie Kinsella's books (except the new one which I'm going to read soon) and they're all great! I like how easy they are to read. I read some books that take about a month to read and then you still dont understand them in the end, but Sophie's books are easy to read and realistic.
I read Confessions of a shopaholic (book 1) in one day the second time I read it and I just love them.
Cant wait to read her newest one ^_^
She's absolutely fab! I have read all of her books and love her style. You laugh, cry, become sad all in one book. They are so full of emotion and so real. I like the Kinsella style as well as the Wickham style. Five stars for her!*****
I have read all her Kinsella books and absolutely love her! The Wickham books however, are not my favorites. Still I wish I could write like this :)
exactly... she scene it in a way i act fell in it... her style is extra ordinary i love it... and can you keep a secret is just waoo...and i guess when people start picturing the authors writing in an imagination that s a win for that author.. she really is ONE
This is my favourite book. I would like the sequel of this novel. Amazing story with interesting characters. Ema is brilliant. I love, love Ema. Sometimes I behave like Ema. I also have some secrets. I crying with laughter. Hilarious and excellent story. Congratulations to Sophie Kinsella.
I love Sophie Kinsella way of writing style, well detailed. actually I have read two of her books (Can you keep a secret, & Remember me). And planning to read "Undomestic Goddess". I caught myself smiling when i read "Can you keep a secret" interesting story because I myself had a secrets too:) like Emma:D
i quite love how she writes, it's like I'm just reading someones diary. I didn't even get bored or what. I wish I had this book, you know to add for my book collections, because I just read it on my ebook from my phone.I really wish I had this hard copy..
The writting was just ultra hilarious , and I was like bitting my inner cheeks or my lips in order not to burst into laughter in front of people ! I think my next Sophie Kinsella will be the Undomestic Goddess too !What I also like about her book is that it's reallu light and fresh !
Sophie Kinsella is a fab writer! She easily connects the readers to her character! actually, this is my first chic lit book and i got hooked. I always search for an SK book in bookstores! :3

Her style, characters, plot in the novels, everything is just amazing.
I've been reading chick-lits but none of them has impressed me like Sophie Kinsella's did
Isn't she just awesome? I loved can you keep a secret?! It's simply wooo-hooooo!! And The Undomestic Goddess :D
Another great one !
her style of writing is amazing and kepps you reading until you've finished the book! Must read all sophie Kinsella books :)
Valerie wrote: "She has an great writing style and her books are different and funny. This one is one my favorites!"same here :)
I didn't like it. Her style of writing is okay although I kind of felt like I was reading a fifteen year old girl's diary. The story was boring and predictable too.
I've read 2 book by Sophie Kinsella, and they reminded me of Katie Macallister's books. She writes more paranormal chick-lit books. Her's are full of humor, as least her Dragon Sept series and Dark Ones series.
I love Spohie Kinsella's writing style. She has such an ease about her writing which is hard to find. I love her characters and find them really relateable. Sophie has a great sense of humor and manages to introduce real life situations in such a brilliant manner. My verdict is that she has a wonderfu, unique style. :)
This book was amazing. Meg Cabot's books introduced me to Sophia Kinsella as this one was listed in the similar books category. I love books of Meg Cabot and now I love hers too. :)

I love the Shopaholic series and her other Kinsella work, but I found her original books were lacking in something.
