Me too Judy, I just love the feeling I get reading Jillian's books!! I have many many more to read and I'm really looking forward to that!! Love her!!!!!
Terri-- : ) I'm not sure I can keep up with all my books, either .Judy--thanks for the encouragement. I appreciate it. : )
Susan--you are too nice. Love you right back. : )
Jennifer--thanks to you, too. : ) Hugs.
Thats so cool about the books and having so many in your head. also the knowing what you wanted to do from so young. Being able to write so many a year would be cool.
Thanks, Jenny. I think I was just made this way--for better or worse! I think it's mostly worse! LOL.
I love that you write so many books Jillian, that means there may be more LIH books in the works ;)! You know I love your Buttons and Bobbins series, and am looking forward to your latest in that series in August! I can only hope there will be more after that, either in the Buttons and Bobbins line, or a new LIH series! Thanks for the great interview Jillian and Love Inspired :)
Klondike Hero is a great read. As always Jillian put out another great book. Makes me want to go to Treasure Creek,Alaska.
Patsy wrote: "Klondike Hero is a great read. As always Jillian put out another great book. Makes me want to go to Treasure Creek,Alaska."I know! I want to meet all these available hunky men!
Sorry I thought you were married with children. I guess I seen your bio with cooking and kids and "assumed"You have my fullest apology.
If suddenly Jennifer disappears we can maybe guess she went off to Alaska to see if there are really hunks there :-P
lol...I like to cook and I like kids(getting my degree in education after switching from being an English Major) 27 and definitely single. Only had one boyfriend and that was a disaster!
Maybe you will end up with a story worthy to be written in one of these great books we read. You know maybe if you go down to Mule Hollow :-)Or God will continue to use you as the wonderful person you seem to be, just as you are.
I see so many times where people around singles push them to marry "if they hit the certain age." I seen too many disasters from people marrying for the wrong reasons.

Hmmm Mule Hollow, Dry Creek, Treasure Creek....I like my chances! But, seriously I agree with you. Waiting on God's timing is always the best. I have seen too many people rush things because they were lonely and wanted someone and it turned out bad in the end. Not to mention the fact that you get ahead of God and outside His will, it just doesn't go so well! I've made my mistakes in relationship with guys before and i have learned not to get ahead of God! After all, He does know what's best! Thankfully, I am not pushed that much...although mom does mention every now and then that she wants me to get married and have babies! But, I know she means well. It's those Aunts and Uncles that bring it up that make it harder acting as if something is wrong with you when you are perfectly content within the Will of God. Sorry, got on my soap box rant! LOL It's kinda a pet peeve of mine, which is why I talk about it with my youth girls at church when I get the chance. Learn from others mistakes...and your own.
You are still young Jennifer! I had my last baby at 43 and she is now a 4 year old spit fire!! When the time is right and you find Mr. Right(if there is such a thing) you will know it!! :)
Hey Jennifer maybe we need to go visit Alaska to find our hero! although I want to vacation somewhere warm all winter!!!!!!!I just finished Bonnie Leons Alaska book forget the names but it was so good.
Off topic is fine. And very interesting! :) I'm so glad that you're able to be a positive role model for the youth girls, Jennifer. I love that!!

Jennifer--There is true love for everyone and you are wise waiting for God to bring Mr. Wonderful to you. : )I wish Treasure Creek was a real place! So many hunky, good men. Sigh!
Patsy wrote: "Klondike Hero is a great read. As always Jillian put out another great book. Makes me want to go to Treasure Creek,Alaska."Now I have the book.
I want to thank everyone for their very comments! : )Terri--I hope you enjoy "visiting" Treasure Creek.
Judy--I wish! : ) I wouldn't mind finding a nice husband, but only after Jennifer has her pick first. : )
Jillian---what is the best order to read these books in---I am one of those weird people who like to read series in order. Can't tell from your website if Klondike Hero is the beginning of a series or somewhere in between. Please do share, that book looks GREAT, and want to start your series!!
Hi Terri--Klondike Hero is the first book in the Series. The second is by Terri Reed titled Treasure Creek Dad and that comes out in August. Hope that helps! I like to read books in order, too. : )

Anywhere between 6 and 10
2. How do you keep coming up with fresh characters and stories?
They pop into my brain constantly. I have an imagination that just won't stop, which is a great blessing since I love to write and write and write. I was one of those girls in school who was always staring off into space instead of listening to the teacher. Over the years I got really good at taking notes and paying attention while my imagination wondered.
3. What do you like to read?
Classics are my favorite. Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Shakespeare. I also love romance and inspirational romance.
4. What's your favorite place to read?
Anywhere. My front porch in the summer. In my chair by the fireplace in the winter. In bed. Standing in a long line at the post office.
5. What are some of your reading pet peeves?
A book that doesn't carry me away. As long as a story transports me, I'm a happy reader.
6. Do your characters stick with you after you've finished a book and if so, how do you handle it?
Yes. I have a hard time letting go. I can admit it . I put so much of my heart and energy and love into my characters that by the time the book is done, I'm sad because I have to say goodbye to them. I solved the problem by writing series so I can stay in the same family for a long time.
7. How do you handle writer's block?
I don't have writer's block. I have been very fortunate! I write and don't let anything stop me. : )
8. If you could be a dessert, what would you be and why?
Butterscotch pudding because it's comfortable, an everyday sort of treat and buttery sweet.
9. What motivates you to write your books?
My love of stories and my characters. I wake up every morning excited to leap with both feet into my story world and see what happens next.
10. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a writer. I've told myself stories for as long as I can remember. My parents remember me talking to myself in my crib, telling myself little stories. It's all I've ever wanted to be. : )
