Local San Clemente author released first novel in May: "Flight to Paradise"

Hi Mike. Well done. Don't know you but congrats anyway on releasing your first book. What's it about? Are you an indie author? Me too. I just released my first thriller, Freud's Revenge in July. How is it going for you?

Yes...I'm an indie author. The sequel to "Flight to Paradise" (a love story), "Flight into Darkness" (a suspense/thriller) will be out in a couple of weeks. Things are great. How 'bout you.

Hi Mike, it's slow going even though my "tome" has garnered a few good reviews. We think Freud's Revenge is buried in a sea of Indie books on Amazon. Sounds like you are having better luck--and a new title on the way! :-) Have you tried a book signing at Laguna Beach Books?? Cheers, PJ

It would be great if you can convince them to let you do it. They told us I would have to guarantee at least 50 people in order for them to schedule it. I did a book signing in Del Mar at Earthsong Books for two days last month. We sold quite a few copies.

I love it when the local bookstores say you must "guarantee" a certain number of people. What is the world coming to. No thanks.
