VAMPIRE ACADEMY IS MY ALL TIME FAV!

I think "Cyteen" and the sequel "Regenesis" by CJ Cherryh are my favorite... I love science fiction, even though that's not at all the genre I write!

What are those about?

Hmmm... hard to summarize. Set on a different planet very far in the future. The people there have created "Azi" -- who are really just other humans, but are taught by "tapes" instead of by parents, and are in some respects a slave class. Complex political intrigue and psychological stuff.

This is set in a universe that CJ Cherryh created -- not necessarily the best books to start with. The first Cherryh book I read was "Downbelow Station," which was a great introduction to that universe.

She's a prolific writer and has several very excellent series (the Chanur books and Foreigner series, to name two). I always really care about the characters in her novels - which to me is the most important thing.

I do enjoy vampires as well - I haven't heard of Vampire Academy - tell me...?

OMG that sounds Awesome and OH gosh you havent heard of Vampire Academy!!Ahhhhh LOL Its a Young Adult book.Its Amazing I'm not really good at summarizing things either but there are good book reviews on Goodreads.

I'm horrible at summarizing so..
The books take place in Bon Temps, LA and vampires have "come out of the coffin". There are several different types of supernaturals (weres, fairies, shifters, and more). While most people do not approve of the vampires in society, Sookie starts dating Bill. The series is ten books long so far. In every book she ends up in trouble, usually with someone trying to kill her.
In my opinion it's a very good paranormal romance :)

I really like the TV series, but it's not the same. It has a bunch of side stories that aren't in the books and some people who died in the books are alive in the show. I think it's good because it would be too predictable if it was exactly the same.

I think my Favorite series of books to read are;
Jeffery Deaver "Licoln Rhyme Mysteries" I have read them all except The burning Wire to which I am reading now along with 3 to 6 other books.
