I really admire Gemma. She's definitely one of my all-time favorite, strong, female book characters. Why?
Because Gemma has her imperfections. She screws up a lot, her mind gets sidetracked, she looses 'the way' sometimes, she's deeply in love--and sometimes she doesn't see the trouble she's getting herself into until she is in too deep. But she's also got this great bravery, and selfless-ness to her. Her thought stray away to her friends usually before herself, and she'd do anything for the people she cares about. Gemma is totally badass in all ways.
