Starzee | 21 comments Werewolf books u love!

message 2: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) Blood and Chocolate's a good one. I never finished, but only because I looked ahead and accidentally spoiled the ending for me! :)

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

that's one my to read's list. lol nice Garrett

message 4: by Starzee (new)

Starzee | 21 comments LOL u skipped ahead? Well it was a great story! I loved that one.

You should definitely read it Sam.

Another good werewolf book is Moon Called by Patricia Briggs. Well its a series about a female mechanic who's a cyote shapeshifter but most of the supporting characters are werewolves, and they are in the books a lot.

message 5: by Starzee (new)

Starzee | 21 comments Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater is another werewolf one. A bit slower paced than Blood and Chocolate but still an amazing story!!

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

that's my favorite book! Maggie is Amazing.

Claire de Lune by Christine Johnson This one is very interesting and was pretty good in my opinion.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

ooo that is also on my to read list

Lacey | 571 comments Mod
It's very good because it gives you a totally different outlook on werewolves...way cool! But some people don't like it so be warned.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

ok Thank you Lacey!

Lacey | 571 comments Mod
No Problem! Happy reading! I've got plenty of books to recommend if you need any.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

I'll remember that :)

message 13: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) This one's not about werewolves, but it's close enough. It's about WereCATS, and it's called the Shifters series by Rachel Vincent. I've got Book 5 that I plan to read soon, but I can't get my hands on the first 4. (Looks like I'm going to have to read out of order) :)

message 14: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 571 comments Mod
I've read the author, except I read my "My soul to take."

I haven't read it yet, but the back of Book 5 ruined a big event. It told who died in one of the previous books. I hate it when books tell what happened in the last book on the back of the sequel! That's considered a spoiler! :D

Have any of you heard of 13 To Life? 13 to Life (13 to Life, #1) by Shannon Delany

message 19: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) I was checking this out at Barnes and Noble about a week ago. For some reason, I just couldn't get enough interest in it. I just...I don't know why I couldn't get enthusiastic about it. Although, the author's got an interesting backstory to how she wrote it.

message 20: by Garrett (last edited Jul 09, 2010 06:22PM) (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer Would this be considered a werewolf book? I know she turns into a wolf, but I don't know if she's specifically a werewolf.

message 21: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 571 comments Mod
Well I never read 13 to life was just wondering if anyone else has...

as for Nightshade why not?

message 22: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) We could add the Mortal Instruments series. They have werewolves in them. And even though it's an adult book, has anyone read Bitten by Kelley Armstrong? It sounds good.

message 23: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 571 comments Mod
Read the Mortal Instruments series but not Bitten...

message 24: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) Is Bitten a bad book? It looks like it's one of those books with a lot of sex in it. In which case, I'd steer away from it. :)

message 25: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 571 comments Mod
To be honest I haven't even heard of it...hmmm...Can't help you there! I know I know I haven't read a book you've mentioned...

message 26: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) It's the sign of the apocalypse! LOL!!!

message 27: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 571 comments Mod
Very funny...I don't know of any other werewolve books they're fairly new...they're just now coming out with alot of them. But I got a ton of other books I really like!!

message 28: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) No. But I think you thought it said county. Oops. I meant country. :D But D.C.'s not too far away!

message 29: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) So, where do I go to see where Radiant Darkness and Angel Star is?

message 30: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) Okay! I couldn't find the shopping cart, but I found it! Hmm... 9.65. That's it? Plus shipping and everything?

message 31: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) I won't accidentally buy it yet, will I? :) How will I get it to send to my address--is there a thing for it?

message 32: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) Oh, I see everything now! Okay! Now I'll just have to wait till child support comes...if it comes. I really hope I can get these! (and it's saying Radiant Darkness is in new condition, but Amazon says that too, and sometimes it's not). Thanks so much!

message 33: by Garrett (last edited Jul 09, 2010 09:08PM) (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) I'll have to do the payment stuff later, probably, since the cards I do have are my parents, and they're asleep right now. :D But I might be able to tomorrow. If I enter the information, I don't have to order then, do I?

message 34: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) Okay. I think I might need to wait, because I don't know squat about card information! :D Even though I probably should. I'll let you know tomorrow what I'm doing! Who knows? Maybe the money will be in the mail tomorrow!

Oh, I heard of it, my friend can't finish the book and said it was alot like Twilight...but I do like the author's other book, Knight Angels.

message 37: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 571 comments Mod
Never heard of that one...I will have to check it out and it doesn't bother me either I mean I am an adult and I do read adult books. As for Anita Blake, never read her.

message 38: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 571 comments Mod
I know what you mean I saw the first episode and didn't know much about it and I was like, "Whoa!" LoL!

message 39: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) Allright, I'm going to post a werewolf-related topic for this thread that I haven't seen mentioned yet. Moonlight (Dark Guardian, #1) by Rachel Hawthorne Full Moon (Dark Guardian, #2) by Rachel Hawthorne Dark of the Moon (Dark Guardian, #3) by Rachel Hawthorne Shadow of the Moon (Dark Guardian, #4) by Rachel Hawthorne
I've got the first one, and each one follows a different girl who is a werewolf.

message 40: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 571 comments Mod
I know those...

message 41: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 571 comments Mod

message 43: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) Here's another werewolf book! Raised by Wolves (Raised by Wolves, #1) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

message 44: by Starzee (new)

Starzee | 21 comments Yeah that one sounds good, i almost bought it the other week, but it wasnt a long enough novel for the price they were selling it at. I hate buying short books that are expensive.

message 45: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) I know how you feel! I bought a hardcover book one time that wasn't very thick at all, and it turned out to be about thirty dollars plus tax.

message 46: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 571 comments Mod
My friend read that book and loved it!!

message 47: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) I was wanting to get it the other day in Barnes and Noble, but I didn't have any money with me. The cover kind of reminds me of the girl on most of the House of Night covers! :)

message 48: by Garrett (new)

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) Here's more werewolf books, none that I've read, though:
Werewolf Rising by R.L. LaFevers The Girl's Guide to Werewolves All You Need to Know about the Original Untamed Bad Boys by Barb Karg Never Cry Werewolf by Heather Davis Sisters Red (Sisters Red, #1) by Jackson Pearce Howling at the Moon (Tales of an Urban Werewolf, #1) by Karen MacInerney On the Prowl (Tales of an Urban Werewolf, #2) by Karen MacInerney Leader of the Pack (Tales of an Urban Werewolf, #3) by Karen MacInerney
