My fav is Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampires series.

message 3: by CaliGirlRae (new)

CaliGirlRae (rae_l) That's a toughie. Mine would have to be Interview With the Vampire or Dracula (I'm torn).

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Hmm... good books, I might also suggest The Last of the Red-Hot Vampires as one of my favorites.

MCR Lover!!!!!!!!!!! (narutosno1fan) | 5 comments i dont have a fav i looooove them all!!!!!!!!!

message 6: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I really liked Halfway to the Grave, but I don't really have a favourite yet. Am reading Paris Immortal at the moment and halfway through and not even a mention of a vampire even though it is a vampire tale....

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) Dracula by Bram Stoker, hands down!

Oh that was on my summer reading list, but my list was way too long and it was near the end, and I've really only read 3 of my reading list books so far...

message 13: by Ross (new)

Ross Bauer (nightlightknight) | 38 comments I'd say either Dracula for purists and Lumley's Necroscope series for something more complex and sinister

Beth | 6 comments The Undead Heart bt Tate Jackson went on sale today on kindle books for .99, It's usually 12.99 and the sale is only going to last a few days then it's going back to the regular price so if your interested, you better hurry! You don't have to have a kindle handheld to get the book. Amazon has a kindle PC version that you can download for free. It's a great read. Check it out then join our The Undead Heart group! Let your friend know! The book is also really funny! It's not a comedy book but the charater and family arguments are hyserical! You can check out the author site at http://www.theundeadheart.yolasite.com

Robertjf7 | 2 comments I read all the Ann Rice novels and loved them, but for shear terror, Bram Stoker's Dracula will make you want to leave the light on when you go to bed.

message 38: by Sylvie (new)

Sylvie I have so many favorites it would be impossible to narrow it down to just one!
I love the Saint-Germain series by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro. Been following his adventures for years! I'm also crazy about the Jack Fleming/Vampire Files series by P.N. Elrod.
Also love Vampires in America by D.B. Reynolds. Only four books strong so far, but it's a great series!
Then of course, there are the usual suspects: BDB, Blood Books, Sookie, Carpathians, Midnight Breed, Maker's Song, Argeneau, Love at Stake, Cat & Bones, tons of others...

One favorite? Riiiight...LOL!

A. Vampire Queen. (booklovingqueen) 1 of my faves is Guilty Pleasures its the first book in the Anita blake vampire hunter series.

message 43: by CF (new)

CF (mrsclairef) | 1 comments THE PASSAGE HANDS DOWN

message 44: by Karen (new)

Karen | 4 comments Let the Right One In ranks up there as one of my favorites. Racing through another 5* The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda's, though it's far from your typical vampire book.

message 45: by Karen (new)

Karen | 4 comments Woolfie wrote: "I really liked John Ajvide Lindqvist's

Wish his next books were as good: Handling the Dead (Zombies) just didn't measure up to what he wrote in Let Me In (also published as Let the Right One In). Am reading his 3rd book, Harbor, which is allegedly Horror -- Amazon calls him the heir to Steven King -- but just started it.

message 46: by Liz (new)

Liz What's do you guys think of the morganville vampires series? I used to really like them, but i'm currently reading the most recent one and I feel like there are so many books in the series that it's just getting boring and repetitive. Does anyone else feel that way?

message 47: by Vrushali (new)

message 48: by Tracey (new)

Tracey Sinclair I'd recommend the Joe Pitt series, they are vampire noir (quite brutal) set in modern New York.

message 49: by Tracey (new)

Tracey Sinclair Sorry I should have said they were by Charlie Huston!

message 50: by Jeff (new)

Jeff Dawson | 63 comments The man who started it all. Bram Stocker, Dracula.
