I loved this one and it is good to read before reading Chasing Brooklynbut I think Lisa grew as an author by the third book.

The only issues that might concern parents that I can see are mild cussing and non-specific teen drinking and smoking (at parties).
Issues for discussion: Dealing with grief and guilt, love and loss, family and loyalty to friends.
I thought this was a really mild, non-edgy YA read. Boyfriend dies and haunts girlfriend. But pretty tame stuff. I enjoyed this book, it was a very fast read, written in verse, but after Burned by Ellen Hopkins, it was just OK.
