I know some authors have passed away, like Charlotte Lamb, and some have just moved on to mainstream or non-romance markets. Who are some authors you really miss from the Har/Sil lines?

Hmm...the only one that comes to mind at the moment is Nora Roberts. I loved her Silhouette stuff...especially the family series stories like the MacGregors, Stanislaskis, Donovans, etc. I loved those books and was bummed when I found out she wouldn't be writing any more of them.

I second Nora Roberts, Anne Stuart and Linda Howard. I love their "old" HQ/Sil books and I still have many of them.
Alison Fraser. She seems to have written only 15 books, the last in 2002. I also miss Daphne Clair/Laurey Bright (the style of her older ones).I also read one book by Laura Gale "The tie that binds" (2003) that was great, and seems as though there should have been a follow-up story for a story for a character there. But I've never seen another book by her.
There is a Canadian author I absolutely loved but her name escapes me.. Sandra Canfield comes to mind but that's not the one.OK got it: Judith Duncan
She wrote some excellent books.
I miss Susan Napier's books. Wish she would resume writing romance books. Really love her heroes. I didn't realize that Linda Howard had stopped writing, only that her later books didn't quite grab me as her older ones did.
Michelle Reid, Jayne Bauling, Laurey Bright/Daphne Clair, Susan Napier, and Patricia Wilson.Vintage hp/m&b by Rosalind Brett/Kathryn Blair/Celine Conway. I have most of her books except a few that I cannot find online like Pagan Interlude, The Fair Invader, For My Sins, Secret Marriage, and Green Leaves.
For some reason, I also miss reading Dixie Browning's old stuff from Silhouette Romance. Her new books aren't as interesting.
