Any kind of narrative writing questions.

JazzyCat (dayandnightgirl) | 4 comments Ok, how about chapter length? Some books have longer/normal length, but my fav book Wintergirls chapters are short. I like it this way. If I do short chapters, can I get away with it?

There are some chapters that are barely more that a page. The length of the chapter doesn't really matter as long as the chapters work with the story. They shouldn't go in a choppy way that messes up the way the story flows.

Liam Hewitt | 1 comments Yeah that's true. In what I write, because it's on here, there is usually one event per chapter that helps to lead the story on.
