What sells better, the good paper or the less expensive?

I don't know much about sales, being a newly published author, but I can honestly say that paper weight has never once been a factor in my book buying decisions. Price, however, has been.I would think that being able to cut the price and still be able to make something off the book would be a better bet.
Like I said though, I'm new to all of this, and don't have any experience or data to back me up. Just my $0.02. :)

I have to re-print my book. In haste for some dumb reason, I accidentally did not notice that I had one and half chapter 14's. OOPS! I guess we all live and learn at some point.
I can re-print for a fee. I feel that cost of my book is much higher than the books published by the big guys in the grocery store that are mass marketed.
The $7.99 paperback are printed on thinner paper. That reduces cost and reduced postage weight.
My question, then, would be, are these mass marketed books selling off the selves because they don't cost as much to buy the paper?
I know that retailers have tricks. They will at 99 cents instead of dollar. Experience tells them that people will view 99 cents as a much greater value that they view paying 1 cent more they spend a whole dollar. I would like to cut my expence in the re-prints, so the price will be more attractive to the budget minded people like myself. When the typo's are corrected, will I cheapen my book's overall value, if I cut the cost somewhere, like the paper quality?
Thank you for your discussion.
