Sarge, Doc, Billy,
Okay I love sarge because he is sooooo awesome and he makes the Thompson cool. Vic Morrow is an excellant actor.

Doc Walton (Steve Rogers) is just all around a good actor and an awesome Character.

Then billy is just downright cute. (the he acts)

Well, my first favorite character was Caje--then later it switched to Sarge--then it was Kirby--and now, really, I like all of them! But if I had to pick I'd probably say Sarge and Kirby are my favorites. They're all good though :-)

It's neat that COMBAT! is a show where just about all the characters are great :-)
And yes, Sarge is *such* a great character--really a good leader and a lot of character development there!

OK, that would be fun to know which one.

So, if you don't mind my asking, when did you know you liked your favorites, or what made you like them? Like, was there one particular moment/episode/scene when you suddenly started liking someone? Or was it the minute he walked on screen? :-)

I don't know really I just LOVE Sarge's character. He's just great!!!! especially when he yells at Kirby those parts are some of the best!!!!

LoL, good answers about Sarge :-) For Kirby I think I started liking him after "The Hunter" episode, and as for Caje, I'd already sort of started thinking of learning French, so when I found out he spoke it, that probably helped :-) And then of course I like all the other characters too, but it kind of depends on the episode which I like better.

totally I can't remeber the name of that one ep. but little John was AWFUUUUUUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Concerning the question of when I liked which character, Saunders was my number one and only favorite since I first laid eyes on the show. He was so much my favorite that if he were not in the episode, I would not watch it. After a long break from the show because it was not on TV anymore and growth in the maturity department, I came back to it when I bought the DVDs. Sarge impressed me again and reaffirmed why I thought he was great but also built on that greatness with his depth of character. Then the rest of the characters stood out to me as their individual selves and not just men to look at. For a little while, Sarge, Caje, and Kirby all vied for my favoritism, but Caje fell back to Saunders and Kirby when I realized how exceedingly awesome Sarge is all the time (I mean ALL the time) and I saw the depth of Kirby's character and how it grew. Saunders is awesomely static and Kirby is fantastically dynamic. They all have good qualities that I respect, but those two are the best to me.

Excellent reasons, Julie. Another thing I love about Sarge is how resourceful he is; he's always trying to use what he has in a situation to do what needs doing. If something isn't going right (and when is it? :-)) then he still finds a way to make it work, or at least tries to.

Oh mu gosh it was amazing I love that part it has to be one of my fav. Sarge parts!!!!!
