I just finished A McKaslin Homecomingby Jillian Hart. This is my first book by Jillian. This is my first book as a Harlequin Ambassador and I really enjoyed it. I just wish there would be a sequal because I liked the characters and would like to see what develops as Lauren gets to know her family that she was taken away from at the age of two. I'm not going to say any more about the story but I gave it a 4 star review.

You need to read her contemporary series about the McKaslins! All of her books are great! I just finished Return to Rosewood by Bonnie K Winn. Love this series she has! Got Jillian's new historical that's coming out soon in the mail today and about to start that one...Patchwork Bride
I just finished "The Protector" by Carla Capshaw. I gave it 5 stars! Awesome book, as is the previous one, "The Gladiator". Highly recommend both.
Thanks--you guys are way too kind! : )Denise--A McKaslin Homecoming is one in a series. It has books that come before and after it. I'll list them if you're interested, although her continuing relationship in the family happens in the background of the other romances. : )
I just finished read " in a mother's arms" by Jillian hart and victoria bylin . It's good book about mothers

Jillian: I'm truly embarrassed. I usually check an author's website or books written before I read any books by that author. I am one of those people that is just anal about reading a series in order. I don't know why I didn't check for your website or check www.fantasticfiction.co.uk which is a great site and usually very up-to-date.
My only excuse is that I just recently became a Harlequin Ambassador and this was my first book and I was so excited that I just read it without thinking about it being in a series. I didn't even check the original publishing date, all I saw was copyright 2010 by Harlequin and thought it was a stand alone. From the title I should have guessed that it was a series.
Okay, now that I have checked your website and Fantastic Fiction I am armed with titles of all the McKaslin series and I will start at the beginning. Do you suggest that they be read in the order that they are listed on your website or should I read the historical ones first?
oops, meant to add on previous post that I've got an interview with Carla Capshaw on my site with a 2 book giveaway to one lucky winner! Both "The Gladiator" & "The Protector". Come on over and leave a comment with your email address!

Oooh, good stuff!!!
I just finished The Cowboy's Sweetheart by Brenda Minton.
Now... I am not fond of cowboys or cowboy books. I grew up with them, so they aren't very interesting to me. However, I really loved this book. Brenda did a great job.

Denise--no worries. : ) How neat to be a Harlequin Ambassador. Beyond cool. : ) I would be excited too!To answer your question, the historicals can be read independently of the contemps. On my website I have the different McKaslin series grouped together, series 1, 2, 3 and the start of 4. The series are designed to be read in any order (although the books in each series are best read in order) but readers tell me it's best to start at the beginning of series 1. Hope that helps!
Denise - I have read all the McKaslin series books and I must say that they are my all time favorite series. I found them hard to put down and I was always looking forward to the next book coming out. I'm sure you will enjoy them all, as I did!
Terri wrote: "Right now I am reading " the rancher's promise" by Hart"Good one! I am reading her newest one, Patchwork Bride
I just finished "The Heart's Song" by Winnie Griggs. Wonderful book! I was rooting for the h/h right from the start. This is the book about the handbell choir.
Oooh!! I've been wanting to read that one. I have it here somewhere. Very tempting to bring it with me on the plane, but it seems pointless to bring books to RWA when I know I'm going to end up getting a ton of them.
I try only to travel with my Sony eReader, but I don't love it enough yet to be willing to get all my books on it. I've got plenty of reading material to get through on that before I get any more.

Janet Tronstad wrote: "I am in the process of reading Anna Schmidt's LIH, 'Convenient Wife' and am enjoying it a lot!"I haven't read that yet. I will read this one day .
Speaking of the book Victoria Bylin and Jillian Hart wrote about mothers -- do you like novellas like these? Debra Clopton and I are doing a mother's day anthology for Love Inspired in April or May 2011 (I forget which month it is, but we're doing connected novellas about two sisters who were orphaned when young and just discovered their other sister had two children before she died -- each sister is checking up on one of the children who are now living with their respective fathers, one in Dry Creek and one in Mule Hollow).
Oh Janet, that sounds really interesting!! I can't wait to read it.
I have to be in the right mood for a novella- and short on time. I always feel like I want to know more about the characters and the novella ends just as I'm getting to love them. So I'm really glad that these are going to be connected. :)

Hi Janet, What a clever idea to do connected novellas. I love the idea about orphaned sisters reconnecting.
I love both Dry Creek and Mule Hollow! Bring on the anthology! (Re: Janet's announcement.) I just finished Jenna's Cowboy Hero by Brenda Minton and I really enjoyed it. I now need to see about Brenda's other books, because of that. Generally I'm not crazy about the LI books with children characters, but Brenda did a great job with the twins in that book that I'm rethinking my prejudice there.
I read from all 3 lines--LIH, LI, LIS and try to go back and forth. My stack of LIS is what I'd like to tackle next.
I just finished Klondike Hero---LOVED IT!!! Can't wait for the rest of the series. Am now reading another Jillian Hart book--"For the Twins' Sake" (I have twin boys so this interested me--although mine weren't separated at birth) ;-)
I just finished, "The Hero Next Door" in the series "Lighthouse Lane". I loved it as much as the book before it, "Tides of Hope". I enjoy reading series and this one so far has not disappointed. I collect lighthouses and grew up in New England. So, when I saw the name of this series and that it took place in Nantucket, I just knew I had to read it.
I am now getting ready to read the next book in the series, "The Doctor's Perfect Match".
Eileen, that's awesome! I really love that series too. I very much enjoyed The Doctor's Perfect Match.
I just finished "Love Enough For Two" by Cynthia Rutledge. I have enjoyed all the books I read by Cynthia.I have enjoyed all the Love Inspired books by all the authors and I have about 400 more on the shelves calling my name....
Terri wrote "reading another Jillian Hart book--"For the Twins' Sake" For the Twins Sake is the first of a 12 book series. They are all worth reading. They are split into 2 series of 6 each but the both Tiny Blessing and Tiny Blessing Tales use the same town and characters.
I just finished Janet's last Dry Creek book not sure the title but I think it was the may or June released it was really good. back on novellas I love them I love the christmas ones and always by the barbour christmas ones and I have the one from LIH from last year.
they are a smaller story and good for when you dont want to think! Like when you just need something to read and enjoy with out having to concentrate on the story etc.
(if i confused you blame it on still being sick)
Oh, Ausjenny -- sorry you're still sick. But I think you hit it on the head with novellas. I like them, too, because they are short -- I especially like them during the Christmas season. I like the Barbour Christmas ones, too, and usually buy an assortment of either their anthologies or Harlequin Historical or Love Inspired Historicals. And, the last Dry Creek book was Wife Wanted in Dry Creek --
Ausjenny wrote: "yep thats it I loved the story. its only my second dry Creek book but I did love it."only your second! GASP! you must read them all!

Jennifer, you're too, too funny! I can see you lying prostrate on the ground in disbelief!

hehehe...almost! Except I am on my bed. :D
Well we dont get all the line here or didn't and I am not close to the city. but I have about 3 on my bookshelf to read.
Janet- I have enjoyed all of Cynthia's books that I have read so far. Just finished Bayou Paradox by Robin Carroll yesterday and just now I finished reading
Courting the Doctor's Daughter by Janet Dean- GREAT READ! It was the 2nd in the series and I really enjoyed this one. I would suggest reading Courting Miss Adelaide first though just so you have a feel of what the books are about with the orphan train and the previous storyline as well.
Barbara wrote: "I just finished "Patchwork Bride" by Jillian Hart. I really enjoyed it!"I just read "Patchwork Bride" too. I enjoyed it also. Loved the ending.
I just finished Murder At Eagle Summit by Virginia Smith. The 2nd book in a series. The first was Taste of Murder and I just ordered the 3rd book Scent of Murder.I wish I did not like every author I read so much. My books coming in are way more then the books going out :-)
