Qt | 139 comments I liked the book! There is a revised version now, isn't there? I think I have the first edition of it. I wonder if there's much difference between the two.

Qt | 139 comments WOW!!!! What kind of book is it?? What's it like? That is great :-D Oh, and which are the Harold Cailin ones? Are those the novel-types that are shown in the back of the "Viewer's Companion?" (I think?)
That's really exciting! I can't wait to hear what you think of it!

message 5: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments That is really neat :-) I hope it's good! Do you have the Cailin ones too?

message 6: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments Yeah, I think second hand would be best then :-D Well, I hope you like "Counterattack" and I look forward to hearing what you think when you read it!

Julie | 28 comments "Counterattack" is easy to get on eBay or find in antique shops (I saw one in my local shop) and cheap too! Those Calin Books are through the roof expensive, but that doesn't stop me from wanting them all. I miraculously got my one Calin book for $15 I think. It was a steal. Frankly, I liked "Counterattack" overall better than "Combat!: No Rest For Heroes". It had better storyline, better diologue, it was truer to the characters, but it wasn't as technical as the Calin book although that is not a bad thing. Just don't pay attention the the pictures in "Counterattack" because it looks like whoever drew them had never even once watched the show...

Qt | 139 comments LOL, yes, I think I've seen some of the pictures in "Counterattack" and I would have to agree with you. Do the Calin books have pictures too? I would love to get those (of course!) even if they aren't as good as "Counterattack"--as a Combat! fan I feel I need them in my collection :-) Maybe someday.

Julie | 28 comments "Counterattack" was written to be a younger reader's book so they put in pictures. The Calin books are novels and they don't have pictures except for a photo or drawing on the cover. I also want to collect all the Calin books, but it is pretty hard because they are rare. They are on eBay at about $150, but I got extremely lucky and got my one Calin book on eBay for about $15. Keep checking eBay or look at the books in thrift stores or antique stores when your in them. It may take you a while, but you can find them. Good luck to all of us looking for them!

Qt | 139 comments Thanks, Julie, I'll definitely keep an eye out for them. It's great you found yours at such a good price!

Julie | 28 comments I'd just like to say right now how glad I am that there are books of Combat! so we can have our mini group about at TV show on a book website! I love it!

message 12: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments Very true! :-D

message 13: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments I just have the first edition of the Jo Davidsmeyer book, and I was wondering, does the second edition have an index? Mine doesn't, and I think an index would be quite useful for when you remember the name of an episode but not which season it's in. Maybe I should look into getting the second edition!

message 14: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments Yes, that would be SUCH a useful feature!! There are times when I've been flipping through the whole book looking for a particular episode--not that that's a bad thing to be doing anyway :-) Just not always the most efficient :-)

message 15: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments That is awesome news!! And not that expensive either :-D Has it arrived yet? I hope you love it :-)
