I think you will enjoy Alexa Adams' recent blog post looking at the intertwining worlds of Harry Potter and Austen fiction. We played around with this very thing a few months back on the group here, but she has visuals!

Penny | 25 comments Ahhh two of my obsessions, I completely blame P&P and Harry Potter for my book addiction, I came to theme on the same month, first P&P and immediately after HP1, I read before that, specially as a little kid (I was 14-15 at the time), but untill I read P&P for the first time I did not now what it was to get lost in a book, live and breathe on every word, and fall in love with men that are never going to be real :(.

I can't wait for HP 7 part 1, I planning on re-raring all 7 books before it comes out. :)

"Alan Rickman (a perfect Professor Severeus Snape)"

Amen! IMHO he is the best and most complex characters of the books, and Alan Rickman brilliant performance gives the impression that he simply sept up from the page to be a part of the movie.

"Though the films are never quite up to the books, I continue to marvel at how well cast they are..."

Sigh! I hope I live to see the day where there is an adaptation as good as some of the Austen's (P&P BBC, Emma Thompson's S&S).

Robin (goodreadscomtriviagoddessl) There is a good Persuasion adaptation. I rented it from my library awhile back, and it was good.
