Beth Knight (zazaknittycat) I know you're not supposed to judge a book by its cover but I think most of us are attracted to certain book covers. Please show us your favorites here.

Beth Knight (zazaknittycat) Here's a few of my favorites:

The Housekeeper and the Professor by Yoko Ogawa

Anita I'm Down a memoir by Mishna Wolff

Here's my favorite - there's something so endearing about it, I can't help but smile.

Alisha Marie (endlesswonderofreading) The Princetta by Anne-Laure Bondoux

While it isn't my absolute favorite cover (I have to think more about that one), this was one book that I picked up mostly because of the cover. The plot sounded good and all, but I bought it because the cover was so great. Of course, then I got home and found that it had an average rating of two and a half stars on Amazon, so I started kicking myself for judging a book by it's cover and put it way down on Mount TBR. I finally read it last month and really liked it, so I was then kicking myself for taking so long to read it.

galya I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak

Beth Knight (zazaknittycat) I'm still reading The True Story of Hansel and Gretel by Louise Murphy for the WWI/WWII theme and I've come to like the cover The True Story of Hansel and Gretel by Louise Murphy To me it really evokes the essence of the book: haunting, cold, frightening. Everytime I pick up the book I find myself getting almost mesmerized by the snow covered trees and thinking how terrifying life must have been for the two children

I'm loving the book. It's very hard to put down but I'm also in the middle of two other good books which I'm reading for two other groups here on GR, otherwise I probably would have finished it by now.

I really like those covers, makes me wanna read the book!

message 27: by Monica (new)

Monica (moniccag) My favorite cover is a piece of art that I can't find anywhere as it's only in a gallery.

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10...

I purchased a second (or maybe third) copy just to have the picture.

I also look inside a book for the font type for easy readability. I once read a book with NO paragraphs or chapter numbers. Only the first page of each chapter was indented.
