I wanted to suggest "A Long Fatal Lovechase" by Louisa May Alcott. It seems like people are very interested in her writing, however, this specific title was considered "too scandalous" for the general public and it was never published! It was discovered in a trunk in her attic years after her death. It is about a young woman who tries to flee from her husband as he stalks her all across Europe. Because of the time period, she is considered to be the property of her husband and the police are helping him instead of protecting her. It is suspensful and exciting, like a modern day thriller, only it was written way back when. I think that it might be a fun and exciting read.
