DAMN HIM!!!! Why July 29th? WHY?? :*( This makes me sad and angry and frustrated because YET AGAIN I will miss him in NYC. >:(*shakes fist at damn fine looking hunk of manmeat*
That was a bit of an over-reaction. I am better now that I've taken the little blue pill. :DLOL
I am sad though, I want to see him SO BAD, and this is twice I'll miss him. *sigh*
I've already taken my little white pill (for allergies) so I'm in kind of a funk. I'm reading your reaction like Tommy Chong: "Oh. Wow man."

you took a Viagra and now you feel better? I'm not sure it works that for females hehe
Tee he he. Becky's not supposed to take viagra. Authors never come to Salt Lake (except Stephanie Meyer but who cares) so I'm used to never having any kind of connection with my favorite authors. Its not so bad Becky.
Wha...? Well I haven't read any of his stuff but I just gave up trying to find authors cause they usually visit the east coast and maybe a few stops in California. Besides, what am I supposed to say, Um hello Mr. Sanderson I'm a big fan just like the last 50 million people who asked you to sign their book. And depending on the author I think I might start crying, like with J.K. Rowling. I'd hand her my book and start sobbing, 'Bring back Harry,' with boogers everywhere.
Oooooh!!! If any of you are looking for signed books, here's a spiffy way to get THREE at once: http://joehillfiction.com/?p=1585
Joe Twittered that there are still some Head keys left and any orders placed by midnight tomorrow will be signed by him.
I think their system must be inundated, I ordered one key and it's taking ten minutes to load to check out.
I hope you managed to snag one R! And I'm soooo curious to find out which key will be revealed at NYCC!
Got my key yesterday and it is pretty cool. The little paper tag tied to it is signed. I think I'm gonna go buy a shadow box to show it off or else it'll just get lost.
I was at Barnes on Saturday. I picked up the first Sandman GN and the Gunslinger GN but they didn't have any of Locke & Key in stock at any Barnes and Nobles in the whole valley. Thats about 10 stores. Lame. I could find them cheaper online anyways.
Question: Do the graphic novels take place before the Dark Tower series? Or are they the actual novels but graphic'd? I bought what I thought was the first in the graphic novel series but after the first 10 pages or so I'm completely lost. I picked up The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born. Where does this book place chronologically with The Gunslinger?
Felina, the DT Graphic novels take place before the stories that you see in the series, chronologically. The first one actually rehashes the events that take place in book 4, which goes over Roland's youth, and then they progress from there to (presumably) before the events in Little Sisters of Eluria, which is before the events in The Gunslinger. If I have my timeline correct. ;)
HA HA. I got the Locke & Key Welcome to Lovercraft and started reading it last night. I must have had it on the brain. I totally confused myself. Well thanks for answering my question anyways. I feel so retarded and my face is beet red. Joe Hill, if you ever visit our humble group, please do not be offended that I brought up your dad's stuff in your group. I realize that you probably don't want all of your work to be associated with your papa. I truely apologize. We cool? Awesome *fist bump*
"There are other worlds but these," I think someone would say about the mistake....hehe...I will say this though. "Welcome to Lovercraft", Felina? Sounds like the title of a porno.

A sci-fi porno!
I don't know if this is old news or not, though I didn't see it listed here, but Locke & Key has been picked up for a TV show: http://www.newsarama.com/comics/locke...
That's so funny you should mention that Colleen, because, as you know, I never watch TV - but this morning on the way to work I heard a commercial for a show called The Cape which is about a super hero, and all I could think about was the short story of the same name from 20thCG. Now I want to check to see if it is really based on Joe's story... LOL
Not that Joe's story is much of a hero story, but still... it would be much more interesting than this I think. LOL
Chris wrote: "I think I saw somewhere recently that "The Cape" will be done as a comic/graphic novel."I think it was Joe's website, matter of fact.
I can't wait until the last issues of Keys to the Kingdom comes out. I could find a release date after the delay so I tweet Joe Hill and he said it will be out at the end of this month.
Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez are doing a panel at Comic Con again this year. Joe has always nonchalantly walked through the line of people waiting to get in, talking, talking photos, signing and otherwise being the NICEST guy ever! Here's hoping he will do the same this year.*fingers crossed*
I wish I was off today so that I could start watching right away. I will definitely be watching some this weekend.
