Mock Newbery 2026 discussion

This book starts slowly and builds with a strong finish. I thought for so long that I didn't like the book. I think it was the way the students treated Melody. It seemed so hackneyed and somehow from a different era. That being said, I think this is a powerful story. Melody will stay in my memory for ever so long.
