Chapter one

Princess Buttercup stepped onto her balconey and breathed in the morning air.

Haley paced along the outer wall and searched for signs of danger.

Daylia rode her horse into the gates.

Haley saw Daylia and called to her. "Anything suspicious?"

"I couldn't really tell," said Daylia sliding off her horse. "I did see a few soldiers, but the shields weren't ours."

Haley frowned. "I'll send someone out to investigate immediately."

Princess Buttercup sighed and walked into her room and alowed herself to help be dressed.
