Is anybody else reading this one? I am reluctant to start the discussion because I did not enjoy this book. I found the plot largely predictable, and the characters uninspiring. It was not a terrible book, but I would not call it a good read.
I am hoping for literary fiction as our next choice.

I am about half way through True Colors and I have to say I so far agree with Tina. The style is ok but it is very predictable. I would rate it as just ok.
I agree with the last two posts. I just finished True Colors. It wasn't "Bad", but "predictable" is the word that keeps popping up in my mind as well. I was almost 200 pages into it before it got interesting at all, and I almost put it down many times. I have read better Kristen Hannah.
Okay this is interesting to see. I have two of Kristin Hannah books. Haven't read them but was dying to dive into them and see what they are like. Now I am not so sure. I still will try them but it is sad to hear that this one is predictable. Hopefully they aren't all that way.

I agree that True Colors did not live up to my expectations of Hannah. I absolutely loved Firefly Lane and was really disappointed with True Colors, especially since it took soooo long as I listened to the audio version. I'm hoping the next book of hers I read will be better.
My godmother just told me about a Kristin Hannah book that she read and loved. I will have to look the title up. Can't remember it at the moment. But she loved it and said it was a great read.
