message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

I just survived 3:37 of the bee gees just to see the combat set. That is a cool set

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

very bad pun my dear! I would appreciate if you didn't let anymore of those escape into the public!

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

true my friend very true but what the hey we have fun!

message 7: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments I'll join :-)

message 8: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments 15) You're a COMBAT! fan if you decide to learn French and German just so you can understand every word spoken on the show!

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

yup haven't done that yet though did you?

message 10: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments No, though I did start to learn French--but don't know it well enough to understand anyone!

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

cha dude!

message 12: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments Wow, no, I didn't know that about the German scripts; that's neat! So that's why there are a few times where I thought I understood some of the words....thanks!

Good point about French always being translated--maybe I'll have to switch :-) Do you understand a lot of the German spoken on the show? Most times, as you pointed out, you can kind of get the general idea of the conversation (in either language) but sometimes I'm just really curious what they're saying :-)

message 13: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments Ooh! Neat! That's cool you can understand that :-)

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

cha totally swveeeeet

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

does b/c mean because?

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

kay thanx

message 17: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments Well, it's still neat that you understood enough of it to get the drift of the conversation! Cool :-)

message 18: by Julie (new)

Julie | 28 comments I just struggled though the BeeGees' video as well and the set looks awesome and another redeeming quality is that the BeeGees= the Brothers Gibb, and that is German so it was like they were Germans on Combat! just at the wrong time...

I took German in high school for two years just for Combat! as well. It worked and is marvelous! Ich lieb es!

I am frightened that most of the list applies to me.

message 19: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments True :-)

message 20: by Julie (new)

Julie | 28 comments 16) You categorize your friends as "In my squad" or "Not in my squad".

Only the smartest, trustworthiest, and loyal friends can make it into my squad.

message 21: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments About #4....what other TV shows with COMBAT!actors have any of you seen? One time I saw part of a doctor/medical TV show with Vic Morrow AND Conlan Carter in it--I think James Whitmore was in it too--but I don't know the name of the show and I didn't even see the end. I keep wondering how it turned out :-)

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

oh that bonanza ep. is Avenger!!!!

message 23: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments Thanks, those would be fun to see! I'd seen some of them in movies--Vic Morrow in "The Blackboard Jungle," Jack Hogan in "The Cat Burglar," and Dick Peabody in a Western with James Garner. But it would be neat to see them in TV shows too. I think my mom's watched "Adam 12" so I'll have to ask her if she remembers him in it.

message 24: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments Yes, it was kind of strange/funny for me to see him playing a juvenile delinquent, when I was so used to him as Saunders! Quite a change! He did a great job though.

message 25: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments 17. You have dreams about the show, the episodes, or the characters.

message 26: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments Yeah, me too :-) It's kind of like getting to watch a new episode :-)

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

thats mean you mean person you. but I must say that it was kinda weird I had been feeling depressed all day then BAM!!! and I couldn't stop laughing and making poll jokes it was weird.

message 31: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments Well, that's better than being depressed, right? :-)

message 32: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments LoL :-D

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

yeah anywhooo can we get back to someone other than me.?

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah! I know what you mean! I loved that it was soooo funny!

message 35: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments LoL, sounds funny!! :-) Who shouts "Empty!" in that one? That sounds familiar but I can't recall who said it. Is that the episode with the man who wanted to be a priest?

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

I can't remeber! but its just a guest star who says it!

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

I just watched one that was good! It has Robert Du'vall in it which of course makes it good he is AMAZING!!!

message 38: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments Is Robert Duvall a German medic in it?

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

No he's something else that I shall not say! Because it was a surprise in the Ep.

message 40: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments Ooh, fun! :-)

message 41: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments "The Partisan"--OK, thanks! I don't think I've seen that one.

message 42: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments About "The Partisan"--I'm pretty sure I haven't seen that one--but, did you figure out the "surprise?" Sometimes I can guess right, but I'm usually not very good at figuring out the surprises/twists at the end :-)

message 43: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments That's great you figured it out :-)

message 44: by Julie (new)

Julie | 28 comments 19) You find yourself involuntarily using the same body language as the squadies.

I find myself scratching the top corner of my eyebrow with my thumbnail like Saunders. I also realize I am scratching my chest like Kirby always does, with my left hand even while I am right handed!

**Warning: social comentary content**
I think I (or anyone) do this because as social animals that we humans are we pick up the mannerisms that others do around us like from our families or friends, so the same thing can happen by watching our friends on TV (psychologically they are really our friends) and act as they do.

message 45: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments Great post :-)
Yes, I'd certainly agree that TV characters are friends :-)

message 46: by Qt (new)

Qt | 139 comments That is funny!
