Brightfern sat in the nursery and licked her pelt.

Mousekit tumbled out of the nursery and giggled.

Rainkit sighed and walked out.

Icepaw padded out of the apprentices' den.

Rainkit spotted Icepaw and his eyes lit up,he looked at his mother who was busy licking her pelt, so he made a wild dash for it and sprinted to Icepaw "Can you teach me some battle moves?"

Shadowpelt chuckled as he caught what his kit had asked to the young apprentice. He walked over and licked his son's head. "I don't think your mother would like that idea, Rainkit."

Rainkit looked up and widened his eyes he nodded and looked at Icepaw "Nevermind Icepaw,M-maybe when I', almost an apprentice." He turned around and walked to Mousekit.

Mousekit stopped rolling and looked up,she saw Shadowpelt "Daddy!"She ran to him and licked his leg,because she couldn't reach any farther.

Brightfern cocked her head and walked out of the nursery,she started purring when she saw Mousekit licking Shadowpelt's leg.She padded to her mate and sat down.

Icepaw sighed.

Shadowpelt purred in happiness as his daughter had come to greet him. He looked up just as Brightfern had sat next to him. "Well, it seems as though you have your paws full." he meowed.

Icepaw wondered where the deputy ws.

Featherkit rubbed up against Shadowpelt's leg.

Icepaw watched the kit.

Shadowpelt purred in amuesment as he gently licked the kit. "Well, aren't I popular today." he meowed.

Icepaw sighed.

Brightfern licked his ear "Yes you are."

Ashkit came up and rubbed Shadowpelt's other leg.

Shadowpelt let out a mrrow of laughter then moved away from the kits, turning to them. "Okay kits, attack me. Show me what you've got." he said playfully.

Icepaw walked over to them and sat down.

Mousekit giggled and leaped for his feet.She pawed them playfully and laughed.

Rainkit leaped on his tail and laughed.

Brightfern purred as she watched every thiing.

Icepaw laughed.

Shadowpelt laughed at the attack, pretending that it was too much for him as he fell to the ground, rolling onto his back. "Ahh, you got me." he said.

Icepaw sighed and thought of the time when he was still a kit.

Mousekit smiled and giggled.

Rainkit laughed and said "Yay!"

Shadowpelt laughed as he rolled back onto his stomach. "One day, you all will make fine warriors." he said.

Icepaw frowned.

"I didn't even get to do anything!" Ashkit protested.

Rainkit looked down.

Mousekit stopped giggiling.

Brightfern rested her tail on his flank, "You could try to attack me?"

Icepaw laughed.

"Maybe later," Ashkit said.

Shadowpelt smirked. "Want to attack me?" he asked, his tail swaying back and forth.

Icepaw sighed.

Brightfern gave him a small nod.

Mousekit looked at her brother and nodded quickly,"Say Yes!"She sqeaked.


Rainkit rolled his eyes playfully.

Shadowpelt smiled, his tail still moving.
