Here's a place for you to suggests series, authors, and books to people new to reading, PR, Urban Fantasy, YA, etc. It doesn't have to be paranormal; just anything good. Post the ones you absolutely loved. Then, I'm going to post a list in the discussion Suggestions Part II of everyone's nominations so they're all in one location for people to look up. They list won't be interrupted by people talking so it'll be easier to read. If a book is nominated a lot I'll put a star next to it. (*=5 or more times, **=10 or more). The list will get very long, but you'll be able to refer to it if you ever need any ideas. I will list series as a group and list book number one only, so I don't need to tell me that you loved book 3, 6, and 8 of a series or anything like that.

Remember, you can mention books already on the list. If they earn stars it'll help people pick the best ones out of a really long list.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 827 comments A lot of the series I like are already listed in the forum, so I'll just throw in a few that I haven't seen yet.

Adult :

Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul, #1) by C.L. Wilson C.L. Wilson

Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning Karen Marie Moning

YA :

Will pull up my list later. I have several YA.

Darcy, let me know which series if an author has more than 1. Especially, if one series is better than the other.

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments Christine Feehan has a bunch of series, I like Carpathians, then the Ghost Walkers, then the Drake Sisters. She is spinnig off the Drake Sisters into a new series that is out now and I am looking forward to it.

Shelly Laurenston has serveral series, all of them are good, even the ones she writes as GA Aiken.

Keri Arhtur's best is Riley Jenson, but she is spinning a new series off that one that I have high hopes for.

Annette Blair writes in triologies for the most part, the characters from the first ones pop up in the others, you don't have to have read them, but it does make it more fun.

PC Cast, for sure The House of Night series. I also liked the Parthanon series, but haven't gotten around to the others.

Yasmine Galenorn is best known for Sisters of the Moon.

Lori Handeland has a couple series that are good, Nightcreature and The Phoenix Chronicles are a little better.

Faith Hunter has a couple, but Jane Yellowrock is the best one.

Larissa Ione is known for her Demonica series.

Jean Johnson for Sons of Destiny.

Nalini Singh for Psy-Changeling and Guild Hunters, the Psy-Changeling being the better one.

Got the name wrong on SL Viehl, should be Lynn Viehl, she writes by the other name, but I haven't tried those ones. Lynn is known for Darkyn and Kyndred series. With these ones you really need to read the Darkyn ones first.

Rebecca York's series is called Moon.

All of good authors.

You'd like the Goddess books. The first one was the hardest to get into though.

Okay, the message boxes only let me add a certain amount of characters so I'm going to make a Part II to this thread and I'll list the books and only the books. All suggestions can by make here and then I'll transfer them over. That way they stay in order without discussion comments in between them.

Lisa S (kasey_k_fan) Still Missing is a great book. I know it's not paranormal or anything, but it was a 5 star read.

Darcy, I'll add Darkyn and then if people like it they'll check for another series by her. I left out the Glass series because of that. I didn't want anyone to read it out of order.
