Hello everyone! My name is Holly and I started this group. I'm fairly obsessed when it comes to my vampires. I'm also in love with many of them, from Emmett Cullen to Eric from the Sookie books to Shane Collins from Morganville. But that doesn't mean I don't like my werewolves because it's pretty safe to say I love Sam from Shiver.

What are the Dresden Files About?

The main character is a wizard and he tries to solve paranormal mysteries, or something to that extent. I haven't read them, but my mom's read the first one. Amanda would be better able to answer your question.

Thank you for inviting me to your group Holly. I love talking about books period, but especially vampire/werewolf books.

I'm trying to get around to reading any book out there with a vampire theme to it. I started out with Anne Rice... she's great. I think the Vampire Diaries series by L.J. Smith is underestimated. Everyone has mentioned some of the other series I've read so far or at least started.

It was nice reading everyone's introduction.

the dresden files is about a wizard named harry dresden. which makes me laugh because i always think of hagrid from harry potter saying "you're a wizard, Harry" haha. but anyways the stories are told from harry's perspective and he's a pretty intersting guy and he's very real and you feel like you know him. he is a detective of sorts who uses his powers and his very practical brain to help others, for money of course. he deals with all types of paranormal things, including vamps! you should check it out, if you like paranormal stuff.

Holly you crack me up! It's so funny how much we like the same books. I'm in total agreement with all your vamps. Love Eric and think Bill is so not good looking (True Blood's version). Emmett, Shane and Sam are all my favorites too.

I love my paranormal/fantasy books and from reading the intros it looks like I have a few more to add onto my to-read list.
Emmett is a thumbs up for sure, haha.
I really love the Mercy Thompson series which has more vampires as the story progresses even though it does mainly revolve around werewolves.
I tried a couple of te Dresden Files but out of order. It just confused me a lot, but it sounds as if they're worth the read so I shall have another look-see from the beginning.

WEREWOLVES - Shiver, Linger. I LOVE Sam! Such a good series, can't wait for Forever!
MERMAIDS/SIRENS/SELKIES - Ingo series is a must for me. Love it so much. Also love, Seven Tears into the sea, Waves and others too. (I'm trying to picture my book shelf cuz I'm too tired to go and check:P)
