Dying For A Bite discussion

I've read Shiver (and it's been a while), but I'm really hoping I can get my hands on Linger soon, maybe before I head off to school. What have you guys thought of it? Have you read it?

I am reading it right now and so far I am a little disappointed:-( Hopefully it will get better. I'm pretty sure I have figured out the end and I feel like there should be slow somber music playing in the background. We will see how I feel by the end.

I was particularly fond of how short the chapters were. I'm used to chapters that are 10, 15 pages long at least. I liked chapters that lasted less than a page and flipped points of view.

Well they are the same adding in "Cole" quite a bit. There seem to be a lot from the pov of Isibel, Cole and Sam but not much with Grace. I'm hoping the storyline picks up. I let you know.

I really want to read Shiver as I've been hearing lots of good things about it. I've placed a hold on it at the library but it doesn't look like I'll be getting my hands on it any time soon. Can't wait to read it though!

So far I am so disappointed:-( The book that started my book obsession was "Lement"! I have loved all of Maggie's books so far and was so excited about "Linger". Now I am forcing myself to pick up the book and keep reading. It is so boring and I am 3/4 way through. My only hope for this book is that it picks up in the end.

Ok, I'm done and really bummed. I'm gonna post my review but FYI it's not great. Which sucks because Maggie's book "Lament" is the book that got me started on my book obsession. I have loved all of her books this one just didn't do it for me.

That sucks. I mean, I still want to read Linger, but I see what you're saying. I read Lament too, and it was brilliant. Well, at least I won't be too disappointed (I hope) when I finally read Linger.

ok just finished linger and am seriously disappointed. i mean if i wanted to read a book about whiny teenagers with way too many problems who can only release their anger by writing emo poetry/music i would just read nonfiction. but seeing as a i thought this would be a love story involving werewolves, i was, like i said, disappointed.

That's seriously too bad. She seems like a great writer, but then to have this get so negative reviews all the time? Hopefully she just had an off book and she'll get back on track from now on.
