Hi Precious, I am already enjoying your book. I won it in the Goodread First Read drawing. I am enjoying it as we speak and will post my review when I am done. Of course I take the book with me whereever I go and several people have asked about it. I am thrilled to give them a synopsis of your book and then encourage then find the book once it is on shelves and become a member of Goodreads!
I just finished reading Color Blind from winning it from Goodreads. As a nonfiction writer myself, I would like to commend you on your amazing courage to be so blantantly honest in your writing. Everytime I remembered that this was a memoir, I was amazed. As I wrote in my review, after finishing it, I fully understand the dedication and feel as though the whole book was written for your daughter. Thank you!
@Michelle, oh my goodness, thanks for your comments! The UK book launch party for the book was just last night and I was just thinking, and loving, how this book has brought me so much close to the people who love me and who I love, especially my daughter. My daughter turned 20 just last month and we celebrated by going for a lovely lunch with my daughter, myself and Wendy (and Wendy's biological daughter). Wendy and I even went halves on my daughter's birthday present (an expensive camera). I don't think we would have come to this place of harmony and acceptance of our unusual family dynamics had I not written this book and explored the issues and history!
@Vivace, can't wait to hear your feedback on the book

I finished reading the book several weeks ago. It was slow going with school and work obligations, but I was determined to get to the end of the story. And I am glad I did. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Color Blind and the story of your life. At times difficult to read, but very honest and I appreciate that. I am so glad that one result is that your family has been brought together for a closer relationship. That is always a good thing!
