Hi Beth You have written this on every vampire book group, are you selling this book for them?

The Undead Heart by Tate Jackson, I have just had a look at chapter one and I am sure the fully graphic and gynaecological details of the rape of the main character is beyond the limits of the younger end of young adult!

What do you say?

It wsan't made for the younger readers. If you lood at the infor on the website it say Parental discrestion advised. I let my 17 year old read it but she's very mature. It's really up to the parents. But it really is a gtreat and interesting book.

i'm not selling it for them. I don't even know the author. I just really enjoyed the book and wanted to give people a chance to grab the deal up before its too late and goes back to it's reg. price.

Ooh, call me crazy but I like books with explicit details.. hell I write books with explicit rape, murder, and sex scenes in it. I wrote my first sex scene when I was 13 and barely even knew that a girl had to be have a period to get preggo.

My worry is not me reading about rape and reading about rape scenes will not corrupt me but that our book group of Vampire Books Fans, Fangs and Writers states our category as YOUNG ADULT!

Our membership has a number of young teens and by young I am saying 13 and if someone recommends a book that has graphic sex in the first chapter that can be read by 13 year olds without even buying the book or knowing the content has an adult theme to it until they read it we can upset the parents.

Ergo:
If you warn readers it is a very adult book the 13 year olds will still read it, in fact I expect more will try and read it! but it won't upset so many parents.
