So I'm almost done with "Linger" and trying to figure out what to read next? In my pile to choose from I have book 5 and 6 of the Morganville Vampires, Poison Study, White is for Magic, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and Wolves. I'm thinking of getting the Morganville vamps done before I move on to new stories. It has to be a quick read because Mokinjay is coming our on the 24th so I am committed to indulge in only that book when it comes out.

Morganville! Oh, and do you have Mockingjay preordered? Because from what I can gather, there's this massive price war going on and you can get the hardback for like, $8.99, at Barnes and Noble or Amazon.
I so knew you were gonna say that. Your the one who got me started with the Morganville clan. I think that is what I am gonna do. I was thinking about ordering it for pick up at Barns and Noble. If I prepay I think I'll get the $8.99 price. I'm gonna drop the kids off for their first day of school and head straight to the book store. Can't wait.
My mom's a fan too, and she ordered it for her Kindle. And since I have one too, I'll just jump on Amazon and download it to mine. No waiting anywhere!
And yay! I got you started on Morganville!

You ever have one of those days when you just go through Goodreads and look for books you've never heard of and find all these amazing looking books that aren't out yet? That was me yesterday. I must have found close to 15 books. They look amazing and I'm pretty excited because I found more than a few that were about college.
Yep, I've had those days before. Problem is there are so many I swear it's gonna take me years to get to them all. Did you put them on your to read list?
Yeah. I was just bored last night and I started clicking on books I had on my to-read list to see what other people who had looked at them had liked and I found all these books. They look pretty cool. There was even one written by Hilary Duff that actually looked good!
I can't wait! I'm so glad the kids go back to school tomorrow. I'm gonna go to the bookstore at 10am and start the book at home with no kids around!!
I can't wait to get my hands on Mockingjay. I think I'm going to ask for it for my birthday (which is really soon =])
Last night is the first night in I don't know how long that I went to bed without reading. Didn't want to start another book knowing Mokingjay was being released tomorrow.
So how many people have finished Mockingjay now that it's been released for about 4 days? I just finished it this morning.
I finished this morning also. I'm still thinking about it but I have a really long review posted. What did you think? All I'm gonna say (no spoilers) is that one I would not let my young teens read this it's way to vividly gruesome and I cried! I never cry! I came really close when Rue died but lost it in this book. Now if a book has that kind of power over someone I personally think it is a damn good book. What did you think?
I never actually cried (probably because I didn't remember the characters as well as I should have), but I did make these little gaspy/choking noises when certain events occurred. And my little brother loves the series. I mean, I think it's kind of a good thing for some young teens to read it, because...er...I'm a little fuzzy on the because. But mostly so they know the world isn't fair. Some of these kids are just so spoiled now. I'm not saying that I'm not, because I know I am to a certain degree, but some of these kids demand the world when they can't have it.
Oh, my kids hate me right now! I'm such a mean mom;-) Two of three are grounded. But don't worry I'm sure my third one will jump on the band wagon soon. I tried to start reading another book last night but I couldn't. My mind is still so wrapped up in Mokingjay.
I had to read magazines or watch TV after I finished Mockingjay. I couldn't focus on anything else either! But by last night I was able to start something new, so that's good. I'm not very far into it, but it's good. It's Kelley Armstrong's Bitten.
Don't worry Mackenzie you will get your chance and once you do be prepared for some gruesome violent reading:-)
Hasn't that been every book so far? I think if you've read the first two, you pretty much know how much violence is going to be in this one.
Yea, that's true. I just feel so left out because it seems that EVERYONE is reading Mockingjay and I'm not :(
Oh, I think Mokingjay has much more descriptive violence. The other two did have violence but this one soooooo much more detail in the gruesome events. Example: When Kat has to go and look for the Halo. I don't want to put up spoilers so think about what she had to wade through to find it. Yuck! The only thing close I can compare that to is the Cato and the mutts scene.
Ahh, I understand. That's gonna make it tough, but I'm used to descriptive violence in my books, so I think it'll be fine :)
...the Halo? Either I wasn't paying much attention to what I was reading or I've already forgotten. I have no idea what the Halo is...
Maybe it wasn't called a Halo? It is the hand held map thing that lights up the pods. I'll have to look up the name and let you know. I thought it was Halo?
