I was wondering, can you advertise on Facebook: I got a lot of readers, writers and publsihers of IR, and I could tell them about this site. Or is that allowed on another soical network?

Stephanie, I'm not on Facebook, and I have no plans to join. If you want to paste a widget for the group on your Facebook page, that is more than welcome and appreciated.

I understand your apprehension in joining Facebook. I wasn't going to until I started writing. Then I saw AlL these authors. So I figure it will help me get my name out there and readers and I can update themon what's oing on with my writing. I will post something this weekend

I could certainly see if for your networking opportunities. I hope it doesn't sound as if I'm against Facebook. It's just not really necessary for me, because I can do what I need on my blog, here, or through Yahoo. And I don't need one more thing to keep up with. I spend way too much time online already. :)

Oh I know what you mean. I have a Myspace account and I barely get to it. It's a vicious cycle. LOL. I had to drop some things and focus on a few social networks. I just revamped my blog, and I am on a lot of Yahoo groups.

Can you imagine if you had to meet everyone in person? We would never have time for anything.

Stephanie, I hated FB at first but now I'm really enjoying it. You can get in touch with IR readers and there's tons of authors on there. I still can't stand Twitter. I get on there every once in a while. I don't get on Myspace much either. Spam city. I've even created groups on FB and there's a lot of authors and IR folks on there too.

Also are you in the IR author/reader group on Multiply? I just joined. Supposed to be the "it" group for IR authors to network. Might wanna check it out if you aren't there. They do book reviews for IR books and all that.

I thought I read something about starting an online critique group. If I read that only in my mind, is it something we could discuss?

Is it okay with you guys if I introduce a writing opportunities folder? I don't want to spam the Author's Corner with too many calls just in case some folk are mainly looking for writing advice and help in that section.

Hi Everyone, I'm starting a new segment on my blog and need some guest author interviews. Where can I post for author interviews in the group?

Is there a romance with a happy end that involves a white woman and a black male? I read the ones about Native American guys and they are rather yummy....and just wondered whether there was a book involving a black guy....come to think of it a japanese guy?... or someone from a native tribe in the Amazons? How exotic and romantic that would be....sigh....

Is anyone having problems searching for books here in goodreads today? I'm trying to find and post the link/ cover for Diary of an Ugly Duckling by Karyn Langhorne, but can't find it. But yet, its in my TBR list. Strange.....
