What's your most favorite book in the whole world?
Or, for the more avid reader, what's your favourite book right now?

Angela Holland (bookaunt) It is hard to pick just one favorite book.

One of my favorites is Gone With the Wind

Jillian Right now my fav would probably be Harry Potter Series. I just finished it, so it is still fresh in my mind

Denise Angela Lynn, I agree with you about GWTW. I have read it about 13 times in my lifetime. It is about time that I read it again as it has been several years. I also like the movie (one of the few books made into a movie that I thought did the book justice) and I do see Rhett as Clark Gable and Scarlett as Vivian Leigh. However, I think the follow up books Scarlett by Alexandra Ripley and Rhett Butler's People by Donald McCaig are horrible. I have read all of Scarlett but Rhett Butler's People, well, I can't get past the first chapter. I haven't read The Wind Done Gone: A Novel by Alice Randall. I own a copy I just haven't tried to read it yet.

My other most favorite book in the whole world and probably a tie with GWTW is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I love almost anything written by Louisa May but Little Women is my favorite (and none of the movies holds a candle to the book IMHO).

Sheri S. (sheaxma) | 100 comments My two favorite books that I read last year were Hannah's Dream by Diane Hammond and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer. Two of my old favorite books that I read many moons ago are The Thorn Birds and Gone With the Wind!

Oh and I'm deeply in love with Mark Twain and all his works.

Sloan (ofliliesandremains) I have two favorite books. I simply cannot choose between them! The first is I Capture the Castle, and the second is Atonement.

I have so many favorites though! I feel bad for not mentioning them, like I left some friends out. Haha. :)

I understand completely, Sloan! My childhood favorites were Laura Ingalls Wilder books, Nancy Drew books and Heidi! Oh and any book about a horse!
