Signs of Terrible Fever
Only through talking with others 'suffering' from this condition can we cope with Terrible Fever...at least until we get another Downside book.
When you see a black 1969 Chevelle drive by and your heart skips a beat. You just want to turn around and follow.
Melissa that is so one of my symptoms. I have it bad for Terrible and his car. Vroom...Vroom goes my heart!
LOL! The car, music, and the personality. (I have COMPLETELY forgot what his physical description was.) I just can't take it anymore!
Melissa wrote: "When you see a black 1969 Chevelle drive by and your heart skips a beat. You just want to turn around and follow."almost did that the other day!
If anyone owns a '69 Chevelle they are going to be going crazy with all these women following them! :D
I have all these symptoms and more. *sigh* Seeing a 69 Chevelle can now fill me longing and make me want to race home and start re reading the series.
I totally ignored the description of him and made up my own. Yes I am shallow, but I just couldn't help it! :)
Yes I am seriously infected. 'm going to need a new set of books soon, because I've flipped through the pages so many times. I want Terrible!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand just in case someone doesn't know what a 69 Chevelle looks like...http://www.edisonlightcruisers.com/im...
Look at this pic and tell me it doesn't remind you of Terrible http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/70... let me know if you guys agree! lol
You see and read this...http://www.csmonitor.com/CSM-Photo-Ga...
Picture 1 of 14:
"A man performs with fire during a Hungry Ghost Festival parade along the streets of Keelung, Taiwan, on Monday. It is believed by some worshipers that the gates of hell are opened during the month and dead ancestors return to visit their relatives. The Hungry Ghost Festival started this year on Aug. 10 and ends on Sept. 7 with traditional Chinese operas, puppet shows, and concerts by believers to appease the roaming spirits. "
...and immediately think of haunted week.
And there was a guy at work yesterday with mutton chops. If he hadn't been short & fat, I'd have asked him if his name was Terrible. :p
When you can't stand the thought of starting another book, because you know you'll only be thinking about Terrible and Chessiebomb :(

OMG I love that pic of Hugh Jackman as Terrible!
OMG I love that pic of Hugh Jackman as Terrible!
Hugh is (casting my mind back to that forgotten early description) not exactly Terrible's double ... but he sure has got the look and the intensity. :D Yum!
I have it so bad that I searched for 3 weeks before finding it. My husband thinks im nuts or that i've my mind, I had to have it no questions asked. So I bought it. I drove 3 states to get it. Last week I bought myself a Black 69 Chevelle. WOW it looks like a dream in my drive way! SOOOO worth it!
For me that scene between Chess and Terrible in I think Unholy Magic was the most pivotal. I think of it as the slap heard around the world. So well written. And I did get choked up when they finally got together in end. So yeah I have the fever. :) Kane's writing is really good and you can't help liking the characters.
I was reading another book last night, and the word "terrible" was written in capital letters. My heart skipped at beat ;-) I chalk it up to the Terible fever I have.
We don't have black 1969 Chevelle's in the UK so I haven't been buying/chasing them down the street. I have however, folded down certain pages in all 3 books and refer to them pretty much daily. I might try and get my husband to grow his sideburns and wear bowling shirts!
Wow, I thought I was the only one who had it this bad. Glad to hear others have Terrible fever as bad as I do. There is a 1969 Chevelle down the block from me but it's gold. Sometimes I'm tempted to creep over in the dead of night and paint it black! Maybe they would sell it if it wasn't gold?
I just read these now I nothing holds my interest now. And that scene between Chess and Terrible in Unholy Magic. Oh my gosh, I almost (I stress almost) threw my book, it made me sick too my stomach. I couldn't sleepthat night I was so upset of course I had to get over it in order to keep reading about Terrible. Now I need the next one baaad. Help!!!!
Argh!! reading Unholy Magic right now (1st time) and my nook just did some silly re-boot update thing!! I can almost feel those twitchy withdrawl symptoms while I wait. I was so happy to find this group, I thought maybe I was alone in this Terrible Lust!! ;) BTW, excellent move on the car Marie!! congrats

It's a great picture. Has anyone seen anything else that might be a good representation of Terrible? I know we all have an image in our minds- I wish someone with serious artistic talent would draw a picture of him and Chess.

On Facebook Stacia mentioned Barnes and Noble was having issues but it was on Barnes and Nobles end and not hers so she hoped it would be available soon.

Check for these symptoms:
From VampireBookClub.net
* You read Unholy Ghosts or Unholy Magic (or both) in a single sitting.
* You follow @StaciaKane on Twitter waiting for Terrible treasures.
* You have forgotten the original description of Terrible in Unholy Ghosts and only focus on the bits of soul he’s bared to Chess.
* You find yourself shaking your head, muttering “that slap!”
* You re-read the Unholy Magic scene at the shed, and imagine what you wish Chess had said …and let your mind play out what would happen next.
* You listen to Terrible’s favorite rockabilly-tinged punk tunes while driving to work.
* You don’t need another Lex sex scene, but multiples with Terrible — make-up sex or otherwise — would be heartily welcomed.
* You sigh in relief after reading Book Chick City’s City of Ghosts review, because you know if you hold on tight you’ll get your Terrible fix.
