I've finished the book but I just want to know if anyone else cried when Simon and Chloe's date epically failed?

noo i like the brother ( sorry cant remember his name) are a perfect fit, not simon and chloe. i thought that from the beginning.

i thought it was a little sad but i think simons brother was a better fit for her

I felt sorry for Simon, but Derek has more depth of character. This isn't Simon's fault. The stupid experiments done to him made Simon less than he should be.

Nah,, i didn't like simon's character,, Derek is sooo much better of a choice:0

im glad we all agree.
derek and his dakness and his pain makes me like him. simon seems too normal.

I was a little sad because I thought simon was really sweet to her, but all-in-all, I liked that they didn't because I thought that would have been way too cliche, at least from what was shown in the first book, i really liked the progression of chloe and derek's relationship and thought it was well paced :)

Has anyone here read 'Dangerous' it's about Derek and Simon before they were sent to the lyle House and in there it specficly said that Derek was leaving the girls up to Simon cause they were to complicated (or something along those lines) so I was fairly surprised when their date flew out the window. besides it's clear that Derek has feelings for her (even though Simon does too).

i really liked derek by the way, the development of their lovestory was really good... =)
simon will find a girl himself oneday, so don't be sad... =P

Me to because derek is so gentle and caring when it comes to chloe!

Although Derek is not the hott hero, i think Chloe and him should be together!

i think chloe and derek are great but i really like simon... i felt really bad for him! :(

Yeah Simon is nice and sweet, but I dont think he got it. He didnt really understand what Chloe needed. Derek was a jerk to her for a better part of the series but that was what she needed, she needed someone to do that to develope her character and her role in the books. Derek undderstands Chloe better, in my opinion, and is better for her in that regard. Simon never really new what eactly to do.

I especially loved the parts in the boks when Derek would ask if Chloe was alright before Simon did and Simon would get all upset. Those parts made me laugh.

Simon has someone coming for him in the companion trilogy I think.

Simon is nice but Derek is better.

The Gathering (the new book Kelley will be coming out with soon) is about a girl who I think can trasphorm into a cat-like a feline were thing going. And according to her website and what I've gathered its supposed to be a companion trilogy. I may be totally off and wrong but thats what I've heard.

I just got done reading darkness rising! and it was great!! i wondered if it had anything to do with it!!! I dont want to give anything away, so i wont. but i loved it. and am sooo sad that the next one wont be out till jan 2012 :(

has anyone of you read other books by kelley armstong?

Ahh thank you! I knew it was something like that.

Derek and Chloe are really good for each other he brings out the best in her and makes her think and she makes him seem more human....After Simon and Chloe date failed i thought Simon would end up with Tori i was some-what shocked that Kit was Tori's father too.

Derek and Chloe are one of the most adorable little pairs I have ever read about. They compliment eachother extremly well and they just fit soo perfeccly. They bring each other out of their shells so we can see what they are really like. My favorite couple thus far! :D

I'm so glad they are together.
I find it very sad for Simon, but I'm just all for Derek!
From the beginning I find him a very good character, and he only got better.
Now of course I hope that more stories will come about them: D

I laughed to when she got cut up by that street chick
and Derek said I wont help you anymore I laughed and said "Yeah Right!!"

I love derek and chloe together!!! but i really hope that when the groups meet up in the darkness rising third book i hope simon finds someone!!!!!

simon is to sweet with chloe theres no surprises with Derek thats different she's better with derek to me
