Sci-Fi Romance discussion

According to Heather Massey from Galaxy Express, "Science fiction describes stories set in an alternative reality that are technology driven, (as opposed to fantasy, which is magic-driven)."

So what is scifi romance (SFR)?

Scifi romance may be catalogued as Romantic Science Fiction, Science Fiction Romance (or Sci-Fi Romance), Futuristic Romance or simply Sci-Fi with a hint of romance. When making a distinction, think about the degree of tech in the story, the importance of romance to the plot, and whether there's a definitive Happily-Ever-After (HEA). The degree of scifi or romance may vary, but we love them all!
