PandaRanda Hey! Holidays are coming up and it's my goal to read over 50 books for this year! I already have a bit of a list...but yeah, I would appreciate any suggestions! ^^
The books that are my current favourites are:
The Twilight Series
The Host
The Uglies Series and anything else written by Scott Westerfeld
Sugar Daddy

And I liked the Redwall series, Terry Pratchett's Death Trilogy (and any other Discworld novels that involves our favourite grim reaper) and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy when I was younger. ^^

As you can see I tend to sway towards fantasy/sci-fi and, now that I'm older, with a good dose of romance (thought not necessarily a conditional factor). So I would appreciate any good suggestions you got for me! Also I'm currently reading the Book Thief, and it is good~!

Sandi (sandikal) I recommending "Little Brother" by Cory Doctorow to EVERYONE. I loved it and my middle-school son loved it. I think this book is powerful and important and has something for everyone.

Anna Have you read Lois Lowry--The Giver, Gathering Blue, The Messenger? Another WW2 book is a Farewell to Manzanar (about Japanese internment camps) and is a memoir.

PandaRanda Sandi> It looks very interesting I'll add it to my wish list right away! Thank you ^^

Anna> I have read The Giver, it was the book I had to study 3 years ago for English, and I have to admit, it probably killed it for me. But I did find the premise rather interesting. But I think I'll try reading Lois Lowry's other books, because they seem popular and she does write about interesting concepts. Thanks for the suggestions! :D

Kate Sorry, know this post is really old. Just wanted to throw in some titles if anyone else is interested. If you like fantasy, I suggest Shannon Hale. She has Goose Girl (part of a series), Pincess Academy, Book of a Thousand Days, and others. There's also a series called Once Upon a Time that has tons of fairy tales that have been re-written by several authors. It's a fun series that puts twists on classic fairy tales.
