Dani looked up from her current project as the race finished. She grinned; of course Phoenix won. She returned to fixing the car
Alex scowled and smacked the steering wheel. He speed past the finish after Phoenix and jumped out of his car. He slammed his helmate down on the ground and trudged inside his teams shop, shoving everyone in his way out of his way.
Phoenix watched Alex storm inside, perhaps it was the best that he didn't go over to gloat. He turn his attention to the lady with the camera. "Yes, ma'am?"
"Win again." Alex mimicked once he was isnide. "I should be winning." he said and clenched his fist.
Phoenix laughed. "Well of course it comes as no surprise. We do this race every other month, and it always is the same turn out. Me winning." He looked over at Dani, she had her arms crossed and was looking at him.
Bree thanked him and turned off the camera. "You'll be all over the newspaper tommorow. Maybe even the announcements." She said and walked away.
Pheonix looked back at his best friend that just stood by the viper. "You coming Moore?" Phoenix asked. "We need to get the car Dani finished to its owner!"
They both stepped into the car and Phoenix rolled down the passenger window. "We'll be back in 30!" Phoenix called out to Dani. Phoenix did a doughnut with the car and sped out the garage. "So what is the address of the place this car will be dropped at?" He asked Moore.
Moores eyes went wide."Um..I think Oak Crest?" he said
Dani nodded and waved after them. She started going over Phoenix's racing car, making a checklist of what needed to be fixed and replaced.
Dani noticed Alex glowering. She wiped her hands on a rag and walked over to him. "You were pretty close that time, Alex. You'll nail it next time for sure" she said sincerely
Alex glared at her. "Next time ill nail you as well." He growled. he swiped a wrench off of the workbench next to them. He walked over to his car and slid under it, tightning the bolts.
Dani raised an eyebrow. She shrugged then went back to Pheonix's car. She did some work under the hood, then slid underneath it to replace some parts that were worn out.
Dani flipped on a small radio and listened to music while she worked on the underside of the car
Alexs anger wore off as he worked. He started taking apart the car and pinging the dents out with a little hammer.
Dani checked the brakes to make sure they were in working order
Alina walked in, fixing her glasses. Alina passed Alex some wrenches. "Calm down, Alex."
Dani nodded along with the music as she changed the tires
Phoenix rode with Moore at his right side of the 4 Rev vehicle they repaired. Because people have a hard time picking up a car when theirs is in the shop, the Rarc Repair Shop delivers the cars back to their owners.
Phoenix was surprised at how far that this person traveled to get their car repaired. Oak Crest was about an hour drive. And even with speeding at 120 mph, it would still take an hours trip there and back.
"You know any short-cuts Moore?" Phoenix asked.
"No, do you?"
Phoenix shook his head.
They got about 15 minutes into the trip and sped at about 100 MPH. Phoenix looked around the car to see if there was anything to do. He looked down by the floor on the passengers side. "What's that?" He asked and Moore picked it up for him.
It was a bright orange and looked like a car charge for a phone. Phoenix didn't think much of it but decided to plug it in the car.
A beam came on the dash panel and the speed 140 MPH lit up in bright orange. Phoenix reached down to unplug it and when he touched it, it pinched him on the finger. He decided not to touch it anymore and instead decided to speed up to 140 mph.
Phoenix had only gone this fast a couple of times and that was when it was in a legal zone. Here the speed limit is 90 mph, but Pro racers are allowed to his 110. Phoenix floored the pedal and the speedometer crept alone the number 110, 120, 130...
He was great full that there where no other cars around. But he still didn't like to break the law by going so fast.
He finally hit the glowing orange number of 140 MPH. A flash of bright orange appeared right in front of them. Phoenix was finally able to look up and saw, in front of him, was an orange clock that had the minute had look as if it were going by seconds, and the hour hand going by minutes.
Phoenix slammed the breaks but it wasn't fast enough to stop the car form sliding into the black and orange swirl that was in the middle of the giant clock.
Everything went black and Phoenix though he was dead. And in another moment, another blast of orange flashed. Phoenix was able to recover from this blast much easier and when he looked out the windshield, he saw that the car was parked at Oak Crest, right in front of the guys house and parked next to Moore's car they dropped off the day before.
Phoenix's jaw dropped. "What just happened?" He asked even though he knew Moore didn't know the answer.
Phoenix looked backwards but saw only other cars and other houses and apartments. Phoenix had to figure out what just happened. He looked at the orange plug-in thing, and slipped it in his pocket.
"Let's return the key's." Phoenix finished as if nothing happened at all.

Dani took a swig of water as she looked over her checklist
Alex glared at Alina, then sighed. "We put faster parts on our car everytime, but we never seem to win."
Alina smiled. "Are you sure it's the parts and nit the person who's driving?"
Dani saw Alex and Alina arguing and smiled. She finished up working on Phoenix's car and waited for him and Moore to return
Bree jumped in her Ford Granger 87 painted black. She started it. "Ugh, stupid motor." She grumbled as it made a screeching noise. It started and she went home. She plugged in the video camera to her laptop and began to sort through the clips.
Alina narrowed her eyes. "Alex, calm down. You just need a little inspirtation is all."
Alex looked at her. "You always say that." he said stepping closer to her, looking down at her. "And it doesnt work." he said and slid back under the car.
Alina rolled her eyes. "You wanna beat Pheniox? Get some motivation, boy! Stop pushing yourself!" She noticed she was gripping hard on her clipboard.
Phoenix and Moore delivered the keys to the man and got in the car they dropped off earlier. He put the car in gear and got on the highway. "Let's try this think again." Phoenix said and plugged it in. An orange flash appeared and the Numbers 145 MPH appeared in orange. "That's weird. It went up." Phoenix said. He didn't care though and sped up to 145.
It didn't react. No clock appeared and no orange flashes. "Maybe it's broken." Phoenix said and touched it. It pinched him and an orange flashed came again. Phoenix sped up to 145 pmh again, but this time the orange clock appeared and they drove through it.
Phoenix slammed the breaks when he saw that he was going 145 mph in the Repair shops parking lot. He wasn't able to stop in time and ran into one of the repair shops walls. "Oops."

"Yeah, but now we have to fix this freaking wall!" Phoenix said trying to get the drivers door open and he also took the orange plug in thing. he had to show them.
Dani jumped when she heard a big crash. She looked over and saw Pheonix and Moore and gasped. She ran over to the rubble, concerned. "Are you guys alright?" she called to them
