That is awesome, Sarah! Did you faithfully attend every performance, too?
Good for your husband, Hairy! (It's a credit to him that he did a great job with such a horrible, embarrassing, dated musical...)
Shelly, I went to opening night. There are seven weeks of performances, so, no, I won't be going to every one. I'll probably go a couple more times though. And ACL might be a little dated but it's not horrible or embarrassing! It's a crowd pleaser every time.
(BTW, the set in that photo is not really the set for the show. It was the set for the previous show. The Chorus Line set looks like a bare stage with a brick wall in back lined with mirrors and a ballet barre.)
W00t!!! Yay Brent!!!! I love 'A Chorus Line'. But then I'm a ho for musicals in general. I was telling my daughter stories recently about doing musical theatre... and when I had to sing "I Want To Be Loved By You" to two guys in a cow suit. Oh yeah... the good old days...
Let me know when you are in a show in Sac... I will drive over and come see it!!!

Oh my Gosh!! Our local NPR affiliate saw the article and they want to do an interview tomorrow with Brent, Pepper, and Christi!
Whee! Yay! How exciting for them! Is your husband okay with speaking on the radio, Sarah? I'd be very nervous!
Well Brent is supposed to be golfing with a client tomorrow. So I guess he'll have to phone his part in. Brent's an actor though, Jackie. No problems with public speaking.
Sweet, Princess! Very, very, cool!
Actually, Anthony, yes. Opening night he wore a suit with his blue & pink paisley tie. They moved the interview to Thursday so Brent can participate. You can listen to it here:

On KXJZ Thursday between 2 and 3 PST.
I don't know if anyone's interested, but here's the streaming site and Brent will be on in about 10 minutes.http://www.capradio.org/stream/player...
Sarah, that was a great interview. Pepper sure sounds like an interesting character. Your husband sounds very handsome on the radio. The production sounds fantastic... I like that they are going back to the original intent of the production which was to keep it fresh by mixing up who gets the auditions on different nights. Awesome.
Where can I buy tickets on line if I wanted to come and check out the production later this month?

Yep, Sarah. It'd be far longer than two hours by foot! There is, however, a professional production of ACL in San Francisco right now. It's the national tour. We (the whole cast plus some spouses) are going to the matinee tomorrow.
Sarah... what day do you wanna hook up with Sarah M in SF? I have an open schedule until Sunday, when I have to pick up a friend of Heather's at the Oakland airport and bring her home for a week of teenage debauchery. So... any day but that one!
Yay! Sarah M in SF W00t!! I'm your handy dandy chauffeuse! Your wish is my command!

I dunno! We're going to the city tomorrow already. I don't know if I can go for a second day. Lemme get back to ya.
Hey Sarah M... on Friday night a pretty cool band is playing at the Great American Music Hall, which is one of the best live venues in SF. Check it out, maybe you guys will want to go see them with me:

Hey what is the plan for Friday? I may still come down, it depends what time and where in the city you'll be. I don't like driving in SF, especially not alone.
Sarah, if you want to come to Petaluma first you can ride down into the city with me. Or I'd be happy to pick you up somewhere along the way.
I thought I would just go pick them up at their hotel and take them around wherever they want to go! :::puts on her chauffeur hat:::
ps... I have a business meeting at my home office at 9:30am, so I won't be planning on leaving here until at least 11am. Maybe even later depending on what Sarah M has to say.

Vallejo is out of the way for me, but I could drive over the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge and meet you on 80 somewhere over there.
Petaluma is on the 101 which is a straight shot down into the City over the Golden Gate Bridge. If you come through Napa and Sonoma it's about 45 minutes from I-80 to Petaluma. Then it's about 45 minutes from here to the GG Bridge.
You could also just come across 37 at Vallejo and I could meet you on the 101 in Novato.

Lemme think about what I wanna do and I'll let you know tomorrow, is that OK? Maybe Michelle (Booby) will want to go and I can meet her in Pleasanton? If she doesn't have to work? I dunno.
What hotel are you guys staying at, Sarah? If it's right off the freeway and I don't have to drive through town much, maybe I can meet you at the hotel.
Also that way I can leave whenever I need to. I do have a two hour drive home so I'd probably want to leave the city no later than ten.
Take the Bay Bridge and exit at Fremont Street (first exit after the bridge) then drive one block to Howard Street. Turn left and drive to 3rd Street, and turn right. Follow this street and it will change names to Kearny after you cross Market. This is the way we went today to go to the theatre. I don't think I'd want to drive it. We almost got hit a couple of times and my husband's an excellent driver. I'm not. Lemme try to come up with a plan B.
omg, you're staying at Kearny and Broadway? Ha ha ha ha. Well, it's central. Ah, youth.
"I'm an excellent driver. Dad lets me drive slow on the driveway."
Sarah darlin... I'm happy to pick you up anywhere you are comfortable driving to. Just let me know. I'll even come pick you up in Vallejo if need be. I hate to think of you navigating the treacherous streets of SF alone!
