Favorite Hogwarts Teacher
Hagrid... I have had sooooo many professors just like him - only not so lovable. Then Lupin.
Lupin, hands down. He was the first great teacher for Harry and did some very important things to keep Harry alive.
My favourites have to be Lupin, Flitwick, or Hagrid. I just love them all. ;-)
i think "mad-eye moody" gave the coolest classes and would be my favorite if he wasn't voldemort's most loyal follower in disguise... i also think professor sprout is a great teacher and would have fun classes. but my absolute, hands-down favorite is professor mcgonagall. she is so smart and hard-core about education, but she also has a great sense of justice and an unexpected sense of humor. i just love her!
I love Professor McGonagall and Headmaster Dumbledore. Hands down, those are my two.

Lupin for sure. I'm rereading 7 now after going through the whole series again and I get a pang every time he's mentioned. He cared about Harry and showed it. Hagrid would have to be my second.
Lupin! I love him! But if moody hadn't turned out to be such a creep, it would be really close.

If Moody, in book 4, had been Moody all along and not Barty Crouch Jr., he would have easily edged out Lupin. He was a great mentor...until you realize he was just pushing Harry into Voldemort's arms!
Snape. Easily Snape. Whenever there was a potions class (or the like, 1 DADA class we got with him) you know that there would be something entertaining going on. It was always worth it to hear Snape's snarkiness.
I realy like Snape. He's realy in the hardest position. I felt really bad when i found out he was not working for Lord Voldemort. I had gone through the entier serius thinking," Snape is soooo evil". And now I fell bad.
I know! Their always like Hagrid, but they always seen mad at themselfs when they think they get to nice.
My favorite was definitely McGonagall, because she was always tough, but fair. Those are the best people to learn from. Plus she was a total powerhouse who kicked some serious tail.
I would have to agree with Kerry. McGonagall is my favorite teacher - she's definitely got some spunk!
I loved Snape since the beginning. He always kept my interest because you knew he was hiding a secret.
lupin!!!! i love lupin. and mcgonagall, too. i truly hate snape. he loved taking points off just to get them to the winning stake. that's not very teacher-ly.
McGonagall and Hagrid
My favorite is Professor Sprout. She's very under-rated, but in the last book, when McGonagall tells the teachers that Voldemort is on his way to Hogwarts, Pomfrey is the only one who doesn't complain or say that there is no way of holding him off. She and McGonagall have an "understanding", and she get right to doing what needs to be done. She truly represents Hufflepuff.

Dawn-Did you mean Sprout or Pomfrey? Your answer is a bit confusing. I'm assuming you mean Sprout.As for me, I like McGonagall because she's got some serious balls man. And then it would be Trelawney, Lupin and Mad-eye.

Jordan - I meant Sprout - I realized after I posted that I was interchanging my Hogwarts teachers. Sprout is definitely my favorite - she's plucky.
Remus all the way! He was such a fantastic teacher! Comeon, who wouldn't want to take his obstacle course end of the year exam. Gee! (Plus, his personality rocks)I would also love to have McGonagall for all seven years, she has such a fantastic personality.
professor remus lupin! i love to have a werewolf teacher, it'll be fun!!! im a teacher myself so, prof minerva is the best teacher among all.
i'd have to agree with Lupin & McGonagall...and if Dumbledore was teaching some sort of philosopy or history course, i'd add him, too.
tie between Lupin and McGonagall, though Barty Crouch Jr, was pretty awesome as the DADA, I guess because he was so good at the dark arts.
Severus Snape. I loved him from the beginning and just enjoyed his sarcastic remarks and the mysterious bits about him....I love bats too and he was always described as an 'overgrown bat.' ha ha
Remus rocked as a teacher, I'd kill to have such a teacher.McGonagall is amazing, I always love such a scary teacher with awesome humour.
Dumbledore -Just because he became headteacher didn't stop him from teaching, who wouldn't love to have a crazy teacher.

Haha you got me! When I read Umbridge I was discusted until I read on.
Lupin. Definitely. He was the ONLY awesome Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher Harry ever had. And he saved Harry from the Dementor and taught him how to produce a Patronus. Or Harry would have been DEAD.But he's dead! :(
McGonagall, hands down. A bamf to end all bamfs.
