The Strain discussion

Okay, I liked his idea of how the "virus" works in the human body and how it's transmitted, etc. It was plausible to me! (Also creeped me out completely, lol!)

Me too! Gross, gross, gross. I like the white blood that is just leftover plasma, unusable to them.

So interesting how two books, The Strain & The Passage, can take each take the concept of a Vampire virus apocolypse and have them be so totally different in execution. I think this one is squarely in the horror realm, where I'd put The Passage more in the genre of futuristic sci-fi. More like Dune or Waterworld?

Not that I have read either one...but I've seen the movies. It is very weird, I love sci-fi on tv or movies (Star Trek, Doctor Who) but I hardly ever read it.

On page 323...I should finish up in a couple of hours.
