Hi! Seriously, hi!!

We are so stoked that you are here with us, really (imagine you are in a room full of flying confetti, colorful balloons and glitter because in our minds, that is what our Welcome thread look like). So yes, welcome new members! We are a quirky, nerdy lot but we mostly play nice and we love reading just like you so we think you will definitely be a great addition to us. Don’t worry, we don’t haze newbies here, promise!

What we do here is that we share book recommendations, we have a group read every quarter and we sometimes meet up (you can join too, when you’re ready) to have lunch/dinner and play board games. Granted these are not all that we do, but they are pretty much the gist.

Please take the time to explore our other threads and get to know us more. Hopefully, in time, you’ll fall in love. For first-timers, introduce yourselves right here and afterwards to get you started, perhaps you can answer these questions and join the fun right away! What was the first English book you read? What are you currently reading? Enough about books, what about you? Could you tell us ten random things about yourself?

If you have any questions, don’t ever hesitate to ask. Our mods: Rachel, Reza, Lynossa and Jati are always happy to help.

Hi, everyone! I'm Fairly. Just found this group and am sooo glad to have done so. A huge part of books I read is in English as it's impossible to find Indonesian ones here, and to make it worse, people here very seldom read English books. So it's a bit frustrating to find sharing partners. Having said that, I'll be looking forward to the group reading! :-)

i'm not sure i'm one of the Indonesians Who Love English Books especially when your English isn't that good.
there's a few reason when i read in english. either the book is only in english or i have to improve my english (which is getting more terrible after i graduate high school):D
