Young Adult Fiction for Adults discussion

One of my recent favourite Canadian YA authors is Susan Juby. I really enjoyed reading her books about Alice Mcleod, Alice, I think, Miss Smithers and Alice MacLeod, Realist at Last.

I am currently reading Another Kind of Cowboy, which I am really enjoying. It's got horses, dressage, boarding school and teenage protagonist who realises that he is gay. Highly recommended, especially if you are interested in horses and horseback riding.

Oh, and there was also a really funny (and much too short running) Canadian television series based on the Alice Mcleod books (called, of course, "Alice, I Think"). It was wonderfully funny and perceptive, and it was, in fact, the TV series which lead me to the books.
