I'm getting ready to buy some books

I pre-ordered Zero History, which should be out on the 10th.

So far I bought

I had an ebay purchase waiting for me when I got home today:


and an Amazon purchase:

So far with this pay check I bought nine books 6 last month and 3 this month

Just ordered from Amazon. Can't wait for it to arrive! I went out this morning to buy it, but it was already sold out at my local bookstore.

I stopped at the ubs and found for $1. Couldn't pass that up. Then I found for $1 at the Dollar Store. Not a bad way to start the month!

I don't know how I missed it on my way in from work, but my other ebay purchase was outside:

Michelle - Dollar General had it for $1.25 too. They had quite a few books for $1.25 at the Dollar General Marketplace where my dad lives.

Okay, last month I was fairly good in only spending $3.00 at a book fair for 2 books. Today I went to Borders with a 40% coupon bought 1022 Evergreen Place by Debbie Macomber and from the clearance rack I got a signed copy hardback of The Hour I First Believed by Wally Lamb for $5.99.

I just bought from Borders

My partner encouraged me to pick up City of Ashes and City of Glass on sale so I can plow through the trilogy when I have a long airport layover later this fall.

Received a delivery from Thriftsbooks.com: and which suprisingling arrived autographed by the author, Brian Mandabach

FYI to everyone, I was a very bad girl and just spent $60 on books over at betterworldbooks.com - they are having a labor day sale, 4 used books for $10 and free shipping. I guess I got a little carried away!

I am planning to go to Half-Priced books today. They are having a 20% off sale. Of course I don't need another book....but why pass up a bargain?

Absolutely right. In fact, I just got back from there, again. I went on Saturday as well, but this time I brought in some old magazines and a couple of books to sell. I thought I'd only get a buck or two and was pleasantly surprised they gave me $10! So of course I had to go and spend some of it. :-) I picked up two more books,

& , for four dollars. That brings me to a total of 15 new books so far this month.

Bi-annual FOL Buck a Bag Sale Update

Hehe. Ok so I have worked at the Friends BS a year and have avoided 3 major Buck a bag sales. I went to this one only b/c I had an order on hold waiting for me at the BS. I am in a reading challenge to read books to movies. I choose all S.King books b/c I:

a] never read his books
b] know about all his books are movies

Well that certainly trumps the two I got for four dollars at Half Price. Nice haul! :-)

My library has all the FOL sale books listed as half price right now. I'm quite sure I'll come home with some tomorrow. Who can pass up paperbacks, in good shape, for a quarter and hardbacks for either fifty cents or a dollar.

All of those for just $4?! I was planning on skipping a monthly FOL sale, but now you've got me all pumped up. I probably won't even be able to sleep until after the booksale this Saturday, LOL!

Oh yes if it weren't for the Buck a bag sale we would be doing 50% off too,this first SAT.

I picked up and at the FOL sale for a quarter each.

Picked up at Borders with a 33% off coupon and a $5 gift card so it cost me all of 81 cents. :-)
