I think so. This is such a smart move on Carrella's part, allowing the reader to still trust in Jacob's power, despite the pinnacle revival being a complete failure.
you know, i didn't even THINK about that...i just figured that all of the holy men would fail in due time, in their time, as the boys/twins/brothers did, so would charles, eventually - but you make me pause and wonder
