I would like to know what power you guys think that Bella is going to have as a vampire. I think it might have to do with protecting people since she is very self-sacrificing.

that could be it. but i have been thinking and talking with a good friend, and we have desided that it has something to do with the mind. because edward can't read her thoughts. and........crap can't remember her name.........can't hurt her, like she did to edward. put silence on him or something like that.

Yeah, I agree with the mind thing. So maybe, she can somehow protect people with her mind. Is a long shot but I can't think of anything else at the moment.

Do you guys have any ideas? I'm all out.

I think that because no vampires can get into her mind, Bella will become like one of the most powerful vampires in the vampire world. Think about it...if as a human they can't do anything to her, what are they going to do when she a vampire?

What I'm really curious about is why Jasper's power works on Bella when no one else's does. Any ideas?

Alice explains why hers and Jasper's powers work on her in Eclipse. Alice says that the reason that Jane's and Aro's and Edwards powers don't work on her is because their powers focus on the mind. Jane uses her power to bring you pain but it's an idea of pain not physical, and both Edward and Aro can't read her mind. But Alice and Jasper can use theirs because Alice doesn't need Bella's mind to see what situation she will physically be in and Jasper controls the physical as well. I think Bella will be really powerful and I like someones idea about her being able to control her thirst completely because of her human aversion to blood. I think she will be able to bring people together, kind of like a peacemaker and I think she will be able to control others. She also has a magnetic trait. She attracts everything to her (whether it be good or bad) love, trouble, etc. Your biggest and best traits are supposed to be intensified when you become a vampire so It's hard to day what Bella's will be since her biggest traits are clumsiness (that won't come in handy) and attracting all kinds of people and mythical creatures to her and making them work together (that might come in handy :) ) hmmm. a lot to think about :)

Lol true true only the woman behind the scenes knows how it will all play out and the rest of us just have to cross our fingers and wait anxiously for the Breaking Dawn release. Only 27 days from today's date!!

*snapping fingers* thanks abby. well of course stephenie meyer knows what will happen. she made it up. i also think bella will have a thing with blood. because she faints everything see sees or "smells" it.

It's practically killing me. Luckily, out of all of my sisters, I will be reading it first because I'm the fastest reader! Plus I'm the one who bought the first three books and got them into it in the first place.

Same here! I read crazy fast and I bought all the books (preordered Breaking Dawn). The only thing that's different is that my sisters are too young to read them. My step-sister isn't, but she has to wait for her mom to buy it. And for her mom to finish Eclipse. I just got her and my step-mom into the series a couple weeks ago. Weeks! Can't see how they lasted that long. lol :D

I haven't preordered Breaking Dawn. The day Eclipse came out, I just went to Barnes and Noble and bought it so I figured I'd do the same thing with Breaking Dawn. Hardly anybody was there when Eclipse came out. Maybe I just missed the rush. Anyway...I can't understand why it's taken weeks either. I lent Twilight to one of my friends this year the Monday of the last week of school and she brought it back to me on Tuesday. She said she couldn't put it down. I love spreading the joy that is Twilight...LOL!

im got all of my friends to read the twilight series and knw they are all just as hooked on it as i am. i dont know if i should preorder Breaking Dawn. a lot more people have tuned in to the Twilight series after Eclipse came out. wat do people think i should do?

I definately think she's going to have the power to resist human blood. Although I'm nkt sure if this will be a power because she is the first one of them to actually make the choice to become a vampire.

i agree with Janepage. being able t resist human blood seems like a possible power for Bella.

Maybe this is too much, but...could Bella have all the powers that the others have...making her kinda like a 'super vampire'? Maybe he will be able to read minds (Edward), have psychic visions (Alice), be able to resist blood (Carlisle), have enormous strength (the new vampire strength that continues), the ability to manipulate another mind (Jane), and the ability to manipulate emotions (Jasper) all combined with her desire to see peace between the wolves and vampire clans...This might link to the book cover for Breaking Dawn - Bella being the new Queen of vampires (even over the Volturi who try to destroy her even after she has converted) because of her gifts.

Just a hpothesis :-) Only reading the book will tell what will really happen.

You know how Jane and Aro can't effect her because of the whole mind thing? Well when you get changed, you bring whatever your power is and it is then enhanced. I think one of Bella's powers is that when someone tries their mind powers on her it backfires onto themselves. For instance if Jane tried to torture Bella she would just start to torture herself. I have this entire theory about it and it's long and complicated so I won't go into it now.

And also you know how Edward says it is mind over matter I don't think she is going to be effected by human blood because her mind is her own stronghold and so the thirst can't touch her there!

Alot of people are thinking that Bella will be able to resist blood, but I think that her thirst will actually be worse because she'll have a heightened sense of smell. I like the idea of her being a kind of tracker because of that, or that instead of just her mind being barred, either nobody else's powers will work on her, or her body will be off limits, too, so she can sort of disappear.

I hope Bella will not be in total blood lust, but part of me thinks she will. I think that is just a vampires primal instincts. Even if it is not human, some animal is going to face her wrath. What worries me is if it is hard for Edward to resist, and he did not for a while, will it not be harder for Bella? Edward is a lot more gentle natured and a lot less hot headed/stubborn. Although his qualities may have come with the excessive amount of years that he has been on the Earth, even Edward thinks that it is going to be hard for Bella to be around people--remember all the talk about college and how he wants her to wait?

well, that could happen. i could see bella having a strong blood lust. or something could go wrong when edwards changing her...

I would have to agree with MSG 10. I think she will be a very powerful Vampire. I sortof have been going back and forth as to who I think will do it. I think Alice would do it because of how she doesn't remember her past, she the Cullens might rationalize that as not having a soul? Edward is all afraid of taking her soul (like I said, just an idea). Also, I would say Edward would be the one to do it, but I think it would be because her "number" is finally up. In Twilight, Alice always saw that Bella's number was up. So I think that Edward would be waiting until the last possible moment, but then something happens to Bella and Edward has no choice but to change her or she dies. But I think once she is changed, she wont go through the whole "going through decades or getting used to the smell of humans or the initial 3 days of pain," thing. I think she will be as strong, if not stronger that Carlisle or Edward or the Vulturi right from the start.

I agree, I think she may be powerful, I like Gwenfair's- idea about how her powers would enable her to turn other vampires powers back onto themselves.

I think her power will be that her mind stays exactly the same as it is, Edward still won't be able to read it, she'll think drinking blood id bad, and her mind will be just the same as it is human

I agree with Melgado about Edward changing her because she is dying. He would have changed her anyway, but something goes wrong a few days before and Bella is dying, in my opinion. I have decided not to keep guessing her power but I know it'll be cool and strong.

i know. its not good for us to keep guessing. we might as well try and be patient for the book to come out...o my gosh! its taking too long!!!

I am not sure Bella will actually turn into a vampire. Remember that bite she got on her finger? well, wat if that stops her from becoming a vamire?

Yeah,Jasper has a lot of those little bites, and I bet some were inflicted before he turned. So I don't think they will effect her changing.

But Jasper got those scars after he was a vampire, when he was fighting the newborns; if he had been bitten before, noone would have sucked the venom out. But yeah, it won't matter.

I think that no matter how much Bella hates blood in her human life, the thirst will be just as potent when she is a vampire. She'll hate it, but she'll have to succumb because it's her nature. No, I think Bella's power will be that she feels other people's pain and therefore protects them as much as possible. When she protects this person, there is no possible way that he or she will get hurt because of the strenghth of her compassion.

That's kind of what I meant, by protecting people, put the way you said it is better than I had in mind. Good idea!
