We actually just had a speaker in my Regional Studies class who spoke on Human Trafficking today.

I don't really think that it's right for Mexicans to ilegally cross the border and take jobs from American citizens. They also bring in illegal drugs as well.

They can at least come in legally. It's not that hard. If it wasn't illegal it wouldn't be wrong and I'd probably be fine with it.

By the way, I did a little research. 11,807,082 SKILLED jobs have been provided to illegal immigrants. Skilled jobs, not jobs that citizens don't want. If we're so wealthy then we should be helping them, not allowing them to cross our borders! We can help them within their own country just as well!

Well, it's a lot better than coming illegally and eventually getting deported. Believe, I've seen that situation. And I find it hard to believe that you would ever want to help a person.

And by the way, I know people who have had their jobs laid off!!! They worked their tails off to support their families while not getting paid and trying to find new ones!!!! Illegal immigration pisses me off. I have no problem with people coming to America that are from other countries, but do it the RIGHT way. There is a twenty six year old man who recently got into an accident at work and will never be able to walk again. He has to live off of a $400 income from the government. His illegal alien neighbor gets a $2000 monthly check because she has two kids. She also doesn't have to pay taxes. Is that fair in any way?

Is it fair? No. Is it true? No. The story doesn't add up and I would say that either you or whoever told it to you made it up. No individual gets money from the government without paying taxes on it. Even welfare recipients pay taxes. Your story is dubious.
