instead of gulping things down or snorting them up, i've been eyeballing them. my eyes are really out of shape. inju and i just both read "fires on the plains" by Shohei Ooka about a japanese soldier wandering around hungry. parts of it remind me of ballard's psychology - a sort of inspired freedom through malnourishment.

also, i'm reading a few journals. one of them called "opium: issue 6: go green (but save me first)" has been enjoyable. alittle too cute and distracting with its graphic design on the inside pages for me.

that's all, turkeys. btw, kaboom!press is looking for writing for august.
